One of the Staff (NAP)
They tried on national radio to spread suspicion on their own staff with Tim. Also somehow a rumour escaped that Tim was taking the fall for someone else. They’re some unit.

I distinctly remember the day that the story broke and I heard Darina on with Joe Duffy. She absolutely let listeners in no doubt that staff also had access to that computer. It was the most scurrilous piece of radio I had ever heard. I wouldn’t darken their door to make a piss.
My next door neighbour is off their for the weekend. He promised me he’d ask for drugs at the front desk when checking in.

Husband of celebrity chef Rachel Allen declared bankrupt over €485,000 income tax bill
The husband of celebrity chef Rachel Allen has successfully petitioned for bankruptcy after being hit with a tax bill of close to €500,000.
Restaurateur Isaac Allen was adjudicated bankrupt by the High Court earlier this week.
The 52-year-old scion of the family behind the Ballymaloe Cookery School filed the bankruptcy petition last month, stating that his debts exceeded his assets by around €365,000.
The move came after he was advised he would not qualify for other personal insolvency solutions under which debts can be substantially written off.
Mr Allen has been involved in the running of several restaurants in the past. In recent years he has been working as a manager for his wife and also for his son Lucca, who is a professional race car driver.
Papers filed with the court revealed he has an income tax liability of close to €485,000. No other debts were listed.

His most valuable asset was noted as a 50pc share in a field in Shanagarry, Co Cork, with his portion valued at €112,500. Other assets included a 2007 Audi TT worth €5,500 and a bank account containing €500.
The couple have had difficulties in their family in recent years, with a son, Joshua, spending three months in jail for cocaine possession
Also listed was a 50pc shareholding in a company called Lehcar Limited, which he co-owns with his wife. However, the value of those shares was listed as “nil”. The company requested a voluntary strike-off last year.
Mr Allen’s income was listed as €2,800-a-month in his bankruptcy filing.
The petition was approved by Mr Justice Liam Kennedy after being laid before the court by personal insolvency practitioner (PIP) John O’Callaghan on Monday.
Mr Allen gave his address as a house in Shanagarry, which is registered as being owned by his mother, well-known chef Darina Allen.
He previously lived at Ballynamona, near the east Cork village. However, he and his wife sold that property for €700,000 in 2011.
Rachel Allen forged a successful career as a television chef with an extensive range of cookery books. She is also a columnist for the Sunday Independent.
The couple met when Dublin-born Rachel went to train at Ballymaloe Cookery School as an 18-year-old in 1989. They have three children.
Mr Allen was previously involved in a number of restaurants, including Rachel’s, a short-lived venture on Washington Street in Cork, the Ballymaloe Cafe at the Crawford Art Gallery, as well as others in Cork city.
The couple have had difficulties in their family in recent years, with a son, Joshua, spending three months in jail for cocaine possession in 2022. He had previously been given a suspended sentence for possession of cannabis for sale or supply in 2020.
In an affidavit, Isaac Allen said he had made reasonable efforts to reach an arrangement with his creditors and had proposed a debt settlement arrangement.
His assets can be sold to partially pay off his debt
This is a mechanism under which debtors can make payments to creditors for a set period, while being able to have a reasonable standard of living. When the period is complete, their remaining debts can be discharged.
However, Mr Allen said he had been advised by his personal insolvency practitioner that he did not have the income to support a payment arrangement.
A personal insolvency arrangement, which allows debtors to keep their home and have a portion of their debts written off, was also ruled out.
Mr Allen said he accepted he should petition for bankruptcy when neither option was available to him.
His assets will now vest with the official assignee in bankruptcy and can be sold to partially pay off his debt.
In normal circumstances, he can expect to have any remaining debt written off after a year, although the official assignee can seek an income payment agreement or order, lasting three years, so that surplus income over reasonable living expenses is handed over.
The couple were left with ‘unmanageable debts’ after suffering losses from investments in rental properties and various business ventures
Mr Allen is the third member of his family to have turned to the courts after getting into financial difficulty.
In 2021, Ballymaloe House manager Fern Allen and her husband Eoin Little had respectively €1.6m and €1.9m in debt written off under personal insolvency arrangements.
The couple were left with “unmanageable debts” after suffering losses from investments in rental properties and various business ventures, according to legal filings.
Under her arrangement, Fern Allen, a daughter of Ballymaloe founders Ivan and Myrtle Allen and sister-in-law of Darina Allen, was to sell her share in the family’s hotel and restaurant business in Shanagarry.
The hotel is part of a wider culinary business empire, which includes the renowned cookery school.
