This day and age in most households both parents work to pay the bills. Many are career focused and can take their eye off the ball on home situations. Young Allen may be a case in point.

Lot of truth in that, my point was more so that smoking weed is far more of a gateway drug to harder drugs than people think nowadays.
There is literally a drug supermarket going in Limerick at the moment from one house and no matter how many raids happen, it is still open.
I think it should be all legalized and taxed personally. Take the gains away from them.

It will always depend on the individuals… Nearly 90% of my peers all over Corbally smoked or took acid/pills when younger and the vast majority grew out of it all. You still had a cohort still doing shit into their 30s and 40s but I know of 2 that became heroin addicts… One went to jail, represented Ireland in the homeless world cup and now has a PhD in addiction studies.
While they are growing stronger strains these days for the most part kids will be kids, they’ll experiment and the majority will grow out of drugs and get sucked into the rat race like the rest of us.

I had a mental breakdown from smoking too much around 21/22,… I was a few spliffs away from 5b. Paranoia is an awful thing.

I was talking to a fella pre covid who I used to play a good bit of 6 a side football with. He told me he literally had a mental breakdown.
He was a savage ball player and didnt give a fuck. Credit him for being able to share that.
Genuinely, I was slightly taken a back for a second. He is flying it now.
No weed made a big difference.
The weed going around today bears no relation to that shit soapbar hash that was prevalent 30 years ago. It is seriously strong

I would find weed has the opposite effect on my anxiety
I never really bothered with it too much myself mate. It definitely can make people lazy though too. Especially if they’re smoking it throughout the day in school.
