Those who have poor eyesight

I have reading glasses that I need to use infrequently. But it’s the transition from print to screen and taking on and off the glasses is the problem.

I have varifocals. They are great once you get used to them.

Fierce expensive though and a bit of a waste as I don’t need glasses to view the screen.

Ah yes,
I have a problem in that I need reading glasses, I’m often asked to do the scorecard at basketball games which basically means that I need to watch the game through my glasses which usually gives me a small headache

No, I’d still have to take them on and off.

I think these are the answer.

Where would I get a pair of them in Limerick?
I’d need to try them out first.

Maybe you should get your eyes checked out properly?

could you not have the screen view at 125/150+% on excel so not finding it so small?

I had them checked only a couple of months ago.
But like I said above it’s the transition from small print (with the reading glasses) to screen is the problem.

The problem is the printed page not the screen.

A second screen would sort the problem alright, but I’m not going down that road.

Good advice
I find virtually no difference in Penney’s cheapest to my reading glasses only the quality of the frames themselves

My go to is 1,5 or 2

Sounds like presbyopia. It’s a normal condition which pretty much everybody gets.

Any sudden changes in vision are what you need to look out for - any new floaters or flashes. That’s when you need to run to the hospital.
