Throne of Games - The Greatest Story Ever Told - Winter is here

Jon Snow reminded of Teege for most of the episode

The battle scenes in this are better than any movie I’ve ever seen. That bit where John was dodging the cavalry was outrageously good. Two seasons ago when the Black keep was been attacked and they did the 360 shot was brilliant too.

The Starks never feared the Boltons

Was it lacking a bit of whacktics for you?

Plausible that Sansa was unaware if her letter would be answered ?

Or couldn’t trust that Littlefinger would turn up one way or the other

That’s another factor. I wonder what his price will be.

Wun Wun kicked some ass in that episode

But they travelled hundreds of miles and were 10 minutes away when the battle started. You probably could have seen them from the top of a tree, even if your scouting was so bad you didn’t know about several thousand cavalry approaching from behind your lines. She didn’t even mention the possibility to him when delaying the attack by half an hour would have changed everything. So contrived for the sake of a twist everyone and their mother knew was coming anyway. It’s as bad as Ayra just strolling around the streets last week with an assassin hunting her. Straight up weak writing. The Rickon thing was another example of it. He didn’t get a single line of dialogue all season that would have made his fate an issue that the audience would really care about.

The battle scenes were brilliant, especially the tracking shot of Jon as the cavalry crashed into each other all around him. But the episode itself was very cliched and predictable. Hopefully the real drama will come at Kings Landing next week.

Why didn’t they give the giant a weapon or even a tree to wield. He would have made hay.

Very enjoyable, and was glued to the screen but you could see how it was going to pan out weeks ago. Not close to the drama of the Red wedding, Ned Starks execution or when the imp slaughtered his father on the jacks. I suppose it is coming to the business end of the show and the good lads do eventually have to start winning

I’d say the Lady of Light will be in a spot of bother with Ser Davos when he gets hold of her

Ser Davos is an example to us all a thoroughly alright sort.

I’d like to see Waherfurd try to handle him with 15 men behind the ball. Sure you wouldn’t even have to make him a hurley, he’d just uproot a whole Ash tree.

Jon snow is some dopey cunt all the same. Sansa tells him not to do what Ramsey wants him to do. What does he do exactly that. Lost most of his men out of stupidity. It was also a bit ridiculous the way there was mountain of bodies built up in a minute or so. And as mentioned how did wun wun not have a weapon! And a few shields would have been handy with the arrows raining down. That snows men ran into. And surely some of Ramsey’s lads would have been bit pissed he killed most of his cavalry

You’re overthinking it mate.

No it’s just disappointing where the TV show uses piss poor writing to achieve their end goals. Don’t think the book characters would be half as stupid in fairness to GRRM

Few boys overthinking it here alright. Watch the break was nearly in tears there about a plot device
