Not sure if it is the jersey, but there seems to be a few bellies hanging from a few of the lads that need to be run off them.
It would be nice for O Shea to win at least 1 Munster championship match before he retires, the tipp players and fitness staff need to step up assist him.

What Tipp players did you think had bellies? Padraic Maher was the only outfield player I could see that people might have thought had a belly and he obviously isn’t overweight given that he was Tipp’s best player by a country mile
Well done to Waterford. They totally deserved their win. A fine young team with huge potential to win Munsters and All Irealnds in the next 5-10 years.
Losing today was not a total disaster. Difficult week for everyone involved so I’m sure it was nearly impossible to focus today. It looks like we need a whole new full backline to what played today. Curran’s legs seem to be gone. A great, great servant though.
I would like the Championship team to be something like this (injuries permitting).
Gleeson
Barrett
Barry
Cahill
Bergin
Padraic Maher
Ronan Maher
Woodlock
Shane McGrath
O’Dwyer
Brendan Maher
Patrick Maher
John McGrath
Callanan
O’Meara
Good options on the bench then with the likes of Forde, Breen, Corbett, Stapleton and Kenny all pushing hard

Brendan Maher isn’t a half forward, definitely not a centre forward. He’d do okay in loose games but isn’t strong enough to win his own ball in a congested half forward line. The rest isn’t bad, although I’m not convinced by O’Meara, would like Lar there eventually if he performs well coming on as a sub
Its hard to know where Brendan Maher fits in alright. Centre forward not his best position but he is captain and a very good hurler so has to start somewhere. Where though is another question. He may end up midfield yet if Shane McGrath has a dip in form.
SHC matches postponed at the weekend due to AI U21 football final.

Loughmore lost tonight again by 2. Wont make it out of group now. Not a huge shock given who they were missing. They have more important things on their minds than hurling right now I’d imagine.
Drom hammerred Burgess and Kickhams beat Moyne too.
“Having had the great honour of being a member of the Tipperary Senior hurling panel for the past 15 years, I have decided to call time on my inter-county hurling career. It was a huge privilege for me to wear the blue and gold and to represent my county.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the many people who have supported me during my hurling career. I am very grateful to all the players, management and backroom staff who have given me such support over the years. I want to thank my club, and the people of Mullinahone, for their loyalty and encouragement during my time playing with Tipperary. I want to thank especially my family and my wife, Tracy, for the sacrifices they have made and for their great support at all times.
I am very grateful for the many opportunities and friendships that being part of this team has afforded me and I have many great memories that I will forever treasure.
Finally, I want to wish Tipperary well for the future. I have great hopes for this team and have no doubt they will go on to bring many more honours to the county”.
Speaking after hearing the news, Tipperary Co. Board Chairman, Michael Bourke, said “Paul was one of the finest backs of his generation and served his county with tremendous pride and honour. Paul was reliably consistent and was unfailing in his loyalty to the county throughout his career. On behalf of the Co. Board and Tipperary supporters I would sincerely like to wish Paul and his family the very best for the future and for continued success with his club Mullinahone”.
Rumours of serious disharmony in the Tipp camp!!
Seemingly Darragh Egan had a go at O’Shea for not starting him in the league semi v Waterford while Darren Gleeson didn’t want to play in that same game on account of his knee injury. Gleeson was told he was fit enough to line out for Port two weeks before and therefore he should be well able to hurl for Tipp. In other news there are ructions in the Kildangan camp with the players holding a meeting because they have no time for that Treacy lad from Portumna that’s over them. Darragh Egan, who recently had a go a Eamon O’Shea for not starting him in goal for the Waterford game, was at fault for two soft goals before being fucked out full forward against Moycarkey at weekend.
this has been your Tipperary Tabloid news update.
Was Paul Curran unceremoniously dropped from the squad before announcing his inter-county retirement or was it a collective decision between himself and management?
