Had heard over the last few days that he had taken a turn for the worse alright. A great hurler and leader on the field and meant to be a very nice man off the field. The night in the dog track in Thurles is still going ahead at the request of his family tonight. RIP

Strange choice of words perhaps? I’ve read they’re going to treat it as a celebration of his life and in general, thats as Irish a wake as I can think of.

Back in 2 years. Good luck to him on his extended all expenses paid S&C holiday.
He will have all the universities rolling out the red carpet for him allowing him to coast through a degree before picking up a handy number with a bank or professional services firm.
Sydney are a great club. If he does any way well at all he’ll stay.
