I wish I could deny it, but heā€™s up there alright.

Heā€™s only 35, a player of his ability should definitely still be playing club hurling.

Tore his cruciate last year. He could be back hurling senior next year Iā€™d say

DId the cruicate last year.
Played half of junior b semi last week.
Now our crowd have to face him in county final

Presume thatā€™s yer second team, not third team?

Correct

Ya but pity he left Mount Sion .

He retired last year after he did the cruciate

They have to play Sarsfields in the Semi Final first.

Youā€™re right . Thatā€™s this weekend isnā€™t it? Weā€™re through already

Where did the blue and gold come from and why get rid of the white and green?

Blue and gold are the colours of Tubberadora who were the first AI hurling champions in 1887. Boherlahan would the club there now.

Tipp wore green and white on bloody Sunday as it was the colour of the county champions at the time. Grangemockler I think. It was a common custom of counties at the time. It was only in the 20s/30s that county jerseys were regulated.

A personal view of mine would be that the tipp teams would have the green and white jersey as their 2nd strip.

Insightful - but if Tipp has kept the green and white then the joke about the yellow streak that runs through them wouldnā€™t make ironic sense

How would you explain the white in Waterford colours? They turn pale if they reach an All Ireland.
