Tommy Carr could be the very man they need with his aversion to systems of play.
I’d a long chat with one who doffs his cap to those last Sat night.
I left depressed at his musings.
He felt a Colm Bonnar and Ken Hogan alliance was the thinking.
I know but it might prevent you from appearing stupid in future…highly doubtful though

I tried to avoid Hurling chat with him most of the weekend. Didn’t want to dampen my mood. He incorrectly predicted that the under 21 game would be off and that would lead to the games on the 12th being off and as a result the club championship wouldn’t be finished in time. His musings about the behaviour of the co. Chairman in meetings was interesting and ties in with what the others present on Saturday night say.
He is a hard fucker to handle I believe.
From what I’ve heard is that the clubs are getting sick of him. Regularly berates delegates at meetings and treats them like shit. Also heard of a story about his behaviour after the cork game towards one of the 89-91 team.
It think there are a few interesting alliances. Eoin Kelly is Willie Mahers brother in law. Possible they would work together. Kelly would more than likely be a selector on all tickets. Nicky worked with Johnny Enright in UCD.
I’m pretty sure the players want nothing to do with Cummins involved. Admired as a goalkeeper. Despised as a person. Kelly and Corcoran would be the most recent past players that would garner universal respect. Fanning just gone would be the same. Eamon Kelly and Conor Gleeson would fancy their chances if a vacuum of candidates occurs.
