It actually sickens me a bit to see senior hurlers encouraging youngsters to keep taking unnecessary touches on the ball with the hurl.
Fast hands is brilliant but catching the ball directly is the best method & habit underage hurlers need.
The amount of messing juveniles try & do killing a ball on the hurl would drive you insane when all they need do is catch the fucking thing.
