Tipperary GAA 2020 - The Famine Is Over - Ireland's Premier Dual County

They are bonkers. Thereā€™s still an arrogance about them because they are seen as west royalty. Thereā€™s no reason for them to be Inter

I recall Moycarkey Borris winning Munster as a very young kid. Whatever happened to them?

Poor breeding strategy.

The casino will sort it.

Are they even hurling senior these days? Canā€™t even recall a player from there on a Tipp senior team in ages

They came up from senior B a couple of years ago and are back into a relegation final now that could see them back there. I donā€™t think they even won an intermediate county to come back up senior. I think they were one of those clubs in the noughties that self promoted themselves to senior

Middle of the road senior team. Probably underachieving. A good few decent young lads coming through.

I think they are the biggest parish in Tipp with 4 primary schools. They produce a lot of decent hurlers, none of county senior inter county class though. They never have a settled team. Like a lot of other clubs the success of the 80s has been a millstone around the neck of teams that followed them.

They lost a few inter finals in the mid 00s and that set them back. Theyā€™d be a cocky shower who havenā€™t backed it up in recent times although they got a stinker of a group this year.

Kiwi Morris is a fine player but theyā€™re probably lacking a bit outside that at senior A level. That Hackett young lad is lightning quick as well

Kiwi is a very good club player. Must be 30+ now. Hackett and Flood are promising. They had a monster of a lad on the minors a few years back, McKevely. Donā€™t think he features now. Eamon Ryan was a great yoke for them also.

Morris was highly touted at underage and looked very talented. Did he ever get close to the senior panel?

I think he got in for a few runs in Watetford crystal. Lovely ball striker but lacking pace and aerial ability. He would have been ate alive by most decent inter county backs. Timmy Hammersley, Pa Bourke, Mikey Heffernan and Stephen Murray would all be in the same boat. Really good club forwards who were just lacking a bit for senior county. Pa got a lot of game time with the seniors on the back of SARS winning counties at that time.

Moycarkey are no mugs and I would say theyā€™ll stay up and get stronger in the coming years.

Like a Willie Griffin

Moycarkey will be there or there abouts In the next few years. Some good young player and then youā€™ve Morris, Rory Regan and a few others to bring them on. They were unlucky v kilruane. Ran out of steam

I donā€™t see it yet. At best the 5th best team in the mid. They havenā€™t beaten anyone of note. Full of unfulfilled potential.

Pretty sure Rory Oā€™Regan is no longer a player.

Moycarkey have some really good young players and will pass out Upperchurch and Loughmore in next 3-4 years.

They were unlucky with the group this year.

Iā€™m sure he started against Kilruane Or at least came on. Shame if heā€™s fallen awayz

Think thatā€™s Kevin Oā€™Regan.

Heā€™s farming full time so you canā€™t do both.

Ah, youā€™re probably right on that. Rory Ryan was who I was also thinking about.

DB Qtrs
Sars v Nenagh
Borrisoleigh v Drom
Kildangan v Toomevara
Clonoulty v Loughmore

SOR Qtrs
Sars v Killenaule
Templederry v Lorrha
Newport v Silvermines
Swans v Mullinahone

Outside a final Iā€™d give Naynagh a better chance than anyone bar maybe Borris of beating Sars
