He wouldâve been on it if Babs had money on it.
Is killenaule west tipp?
No
No. South
Colm was far better hurler for Club & County. Without question
Year lads? Check out the keepers.
Where are their hurleys?
1995
They look quite older than 20 or 21 by todays standards. Some of them look like they could be 40.
As a youngster I always used to like the cut of the two Tuckers from Nenagh, both fine athletic hurlers with plenty of skill, especially Kevin. Neither ever really seemed to get a solid run of it with Tipp and used to always be one of the first called ashore when the forwards were struggling. Were they slighty blackgaurded or am i overrating them
They had plenty of flashes of huge potential. I think Tipp around that time were unsettled in terms of manager. I could be wrong but Fr Tom Fogarty might have been the one who brought them into the fold. They were both fliers but lacked a bit of physicality. Eddie would have been seen more as a midfielder and Kevin as a wing forward.
Club thing imo
Deccie Browne looks about 15 ish there.
Who are the goalies and who are the team in green and yellow?
I remember Andy Moloney playing in that final, he must have come off the bench.
Declan Browne in goal for Moyle Rovers.
Clonmel Commercials
Big rangy lads and decent hurlers to boot. Both great servants for their club. However they were not at the standard of inter county. Nicky dropped big Declan for the replay against Clare in 99 and started Eddie Tucker instead. Seam McMahon proceeded to dominate. He would never have done that on Declan. Kevin was a good lad to hit 3 points when the wind was at your back and you were winning by 8 points.
- Some good yokes on that Moyle Rovers team like Cronin, Foley and Owenâs. They played out two great Munster finals vs Doonbeg in 98.
Declans brother was a decent keeper also.
Tipp made hard work of beating kk that day. Cyril named Tommy Dunne as motm on the Sunday game that night even though he was terrible that day.
Those were the days when the football under 21 final was played with the hurling as part of a double header. I think it was Mayo vs Kerry.
