Fergal is something else.

Who is it?

Donny Horan. Must have been the EO hurling and football keeper for over 20 years up to about 2012. Lovely fella, fit as a fiddle. Heā€™s only taken up the whistle and moving up the ranks. Was laughing as heā€™d be disgusted to go off inj.

He continued as a sideline official.

I was surprised when Fergal knew what a mark was.

How did that final up lads by the way?

Did Fergal ā€œlet it flowā€?

I see the townies won. Wouldā€™ve been valued in New Inn a lot more.

What was the standard like? Much of a crowd.

Huge crowd. Both sides of field and stand full. These mid week games draw big crowds as thereā€™s nothing on.

I only saw 10 mins of ET when I was minding small EK who kicked up. Rockwell missed an open goal which cost them in ET.

I was reliably informed by BB and Aā€Bā€ON that Rockwell threw it away in normal time also. Moloney missed a standard enough free to win it in normal time. Meant to be a good game. Disappointing for Rockwell to lose as itā€™s their big cup.

Gilroy referencing the 30/30 sure itā€™s common knowledge by now

Ok.

In an upgrade from his usual gossip from the mart, the auld lad was conversing with (or eavesdropping on, I have you to ascertain) a few family members of ex panelists etc. at the PJ McManus thing.

The word is that there will be defections from the panel. There are issues with the management

I heard a few of the backroom team were moving on. Curran and Dunne. Didnā€™t hear anything about player defections although it could be assumed a few of the older lads would retire.

@peddlerscross, @endakenny or @Declan_Moffat would be more tuned into the politics than me.

Iā€™ve heard Tommy Dunneā€™s name mentioned but nothing concrete or from the usual place.

Bonnarā€™s departure set to be imminent (may even be announced tonight)

It has long been known that this would be Tommy Dunnes last year. He leaves a gaping hole as he was basically keeping the whole show on the road coaching wise.

Bonnar liked by the players as he is a lovely fella but inter county hurling with Tipp is about winning.

The new appointment is Box Office

Una Healy?
