Tipperary GAA 2022

The shortage of referees around the country is at breaking point. Lads are happy to take the bread, but never willing to give a bit back.

The most competitive Senior hurling championship is back. First 3 games played were draws. God came off the bench to score 1.1 to get Mullinahone a draw

Kilruane making a big statement tonight.

I thought they were the best team in it last year but Loughmore beat them with goals.

They have a very good age profile as their better players, Morgan x2, Cahill, Trigger etc are all early 20’s.

Some controversy if the penalty to equalise actually went inside the post?

Borris really took advantage of their one year where it all came together

Thurles can be very slick in Semple when the ball is dry.

But that Borris management looks a bit over the top. They have a nutritionist and all which I’m not sure would work well in a place like that.

It was a hammering but Borris drove a ball of wides. They are trying to play more short puckouts but their keeper is dodgy enough on them after spending the last decade going route 1.
They improved a bit when Jerry Kelly went to 6 and Kieran Maher came on.

Sars are so accurate when they get a chance.

Prob be Drom v Borris in a virtual knockout game at the end of the group.

Looks in on the slo-mo?

I missed the first game but was told by neutrals at the game that it went in. I’m not so sure.

Tommy the knife. Who knew.

Toom whinged but it was a goal alright

It’s not physically possible for the ball to move items lying against the nett from outside impact.
That ball hit the inside undoubtedly

Some whinging out of them alright. Both of these teams will beat Holycross (-Bryan O Mara) so it will depend on how they go v Upperchurch. A 3 way tie wouldn’t surprise me with score difference being vital.

Back in the halcyon days the Toome lads would have laid out the umpires if such a decision went against them.

The linesman and ref arguably have the best view there from behind where the ball was struck.

Judging by where it hits the net behind the goal it was probably in

Impact drove flag & towel sideways so has to hit inside nett imo.
Couldn’t move those items that way any other way.

In saying that. Netts should be secure to cut this issue out

Why do Tipp play group games in an empty Thurles? Surely make sense to play games like that in a club venue.

The games being streamed are played there. Not ideal but streaming in other grounds isnt great

The refs need to have a holiday too.

This is what happens when you arrange your club championships for peak holiday season.

No refs, loads of players missing and nobody at the games.
