I was talking to a Drom contact today, said they just couldnt get lads to play with 3 hurling teams out next weekend. They had 13 but couldnt get two more. He also seemed to be of the opinion that competition was sprung on them and they had never agreed to it at the start of the year.
There was absolutely no rush to finish this Competition out that quickly that there was walkovers given as Co board would have been informed

Itās a bit like one of them u14 C Shield competitions to give young lads an extra couple of games except it being for adult players.
