Tipperary GAA 2022

Great scenes in Bansha in Football Relegation Final.

Cahir leading by a goal conceded last gasp penalty to Aherlow. Johnny Smacks of The 2 Johnnies as a selector for Cahir was sent off for whatever he said about the incident

Anyway up steps Barry Grogan who has penalty brilliantly saved by Aaron Wall. Ref blows full time whistle on the rebound as Aherlow are about to score into an empty net. Aherlow seething.

Cahir stay up.

Eire Og with eye on bigger prize it appears.

Some drama by the sound of things. Similar happened between Moyle Rovers and Commercials one year only the whistle blew a milisecond before rebound hit the net.

Who was the ref?

Always good to try end the year on a win.

Oh dear :joy:

Not a great weekend for the Tom Cusack cup. Eire Og send out their juniors and Drom give a walkover.

Long long way back for Aherlow/Lattin after that loss. Their neighbours Galtees also down in mid table of intermediate. West Tipp football at a low ebb.

In the North, Roscrea gave a walkover in County junior quarter final also.

Ridiculous fixturing

I was talking to a Drom contact today, said they just couldnt get lads to play with 3 hurling teams out next weekend. They had 13 but couldnt get two more. He also seemed to be of the opinion that competition was sprung on them and they had never agreed to it at the start of the year.

There was absolutely no rush to finish this Competition out that quickly that there was walkovers given as Co board would have been informed

My Drom cousin called it a ā€œFucking farce of a competitionā€

Itā€™s a bit like one of them u14 C Shield competitions to give young lads an extra couple of games except it being for adult players.

Commercials beat Moyle Rovers comfortably in the first Senior Football Semi-Final after being a point down at half-time.

Upperchurch were 6 points up on Loughmore half way through the 2nd half, Loughmore have scored 1-02 to bring it back to a point with 5 minutes left.

Upperchurch win by a point
