Tipperary GAA 2023

Tough on Solohead losing that chap alright.

Treacy’s have a big pick so they’ll survive.

Harder for RG & SH to recover their loses

Anyone I know in Kickhams isn’t at all sorry to see back of the Famous Five but that attitude is debatable I suppose.

What’s Shane Neville relationship to Cratloe again?

Treacys have a big pick geographically but wouldn’t be overly heavy on numbers. That lad would be a top 5 player for Treacys, only made the Church team this year.

His uncle was coaching them and he was working in Shannon.

Ya, is his uncle a well known ex player or something?

His club are also junior A and he had no interest in playing with them.

Alan Neville.

Has coached a lot of teams and played for Clare once upon a time. Originally Clarecastle.

What’s the cut off date now for Transfers in the County?

31st January for transfers within the county. No date for between

Is there many contentious transfers lodged elsewhere in other divisions?

You’d never hear too many in North & Mid.

South can be argy bargy enough I’d imagine

James Barry gone to Ballyporeen/Skeheen.

Is there a list somewhere on line?

Upperchurch Barry?

Presume he married a Bally girl & moved down. He’s only of Junior standard now anyway, must be early 30’s

Yep

Be an addition to them all the same

Theyve lost Conor Sweeney for the year with a cruciate so they need all the help they can get. They had high hopes of going a couple of steps closer with the intermediate hurling. They have Liam Lawlor as well gone to them. Former Waterford full back. Still a fine hurler.

Lawlor is still very good alright, Barry be a boost if fit also.

Sweeney will be a much bigger loss for their footballers, I don’t see them winning an intermediate but should be in and around the knockouts.

Lawlor has some hands. Was always caught with his feet but a very good reader. He’ll add to them anyway. As will Barry.

Hadn’t heard that. Interesting one. I was never overly impressed with him at Newcastle the few times I saw him but not sure how much effort he put in there

He has bad knees. Even when with Waterford in his 20s he would often have one of them taped up. He actually played with us along with his brothers before they transferred to fourmilewater and the Nire. They’ve been around. He would still be a hard fella to get around. I’d say at this late stage of his career at 36 he would be either a full back or a full forward.

Nice piece by our PRO
