He went down in my estimation when he was giving it big licks after a lucky win in a McGrath cup game in rathkeale last year.

Well their dream team won the U12, 14, 16, 18 and 21 A championships but its only one group of players.
You have to admire the ambition but I think Holycross are the team that will breakthrough from nowhere in the next few years to win a County Championship. They have even more money and hurlers than Moycarkey in my opinion.

There’d be a savage snobbery amongst old timers in the likes of Holycross, Moycarkey and Boherlahan towards the likes of Drom, Loughmore and Brackens. The former three would see themselves as old tradition.
When was the last time any of them won anything?

Years previously…… only thing those 3 clubs have is Massive parish picks. No reason bar perhaps Moycarkey who’ve had some recent ( 80’s ) success to look down on anyone.

Second (first official) game they’ve tried Breen at FB. My father has been bleating on about this for years as to why someone wouldn’t try him there after his exploits at Minor. I personally don’t think it’ll work but maybe worth a look.
The last time it was tried in the winter of 2018, Paddy Curran of Waterford had a hat trick banged in after 20 minutes and it was officially abandoned.
Shelly and Breen at 1 and 3 should be swashbuckling if nothing else.

How was Creedon for Sars this year?
He was decent. He’s a good player.
Midfield could be a bit lightweight. Interesting to see Dan wing back
Be interesting to see if any of the new lads can step up.
I still reckon the original Snipers in Cooper Helmets like Callanan, McGrath x2, Bubbles, Niall O’Meara etc would be better than most of those new forwards.
