Tipperary GAA 2023

John Coghlan was the one I thought might make it but he seemed to be a lad caught for pace a bit.

Pulled down the 02 Yearbook there. SC got a run out in Croke park that year as well as P Maher.

John O Keeffe is also listed as being on that primary game team.

Thurles 17-13 up after 40 minutes. Game is on Tipp FM.

Billy McCarthy goal. 7 in it.

Sam O’Farrell goal.
1-20
1-17

Game on.

Back to a point. Mikey Heffernan and Jake Morris with points

Thurles 1-27 Nenagh 1-23 FT.

Good win for Thurles.

Nenagh threw everything at them but they stood firm. The bench made a difference.

Borrisileigh a great venue for such an occasion.

Thurles had Seanie Butler on fire in the first half, he went off injured and they brought on Eoin Purcell who scored 0-3 and won another 0-2 from frees. Serious depth.

Billy McCarthy is improving game on game, hopefully it’s the end of his injuries.

Nenagh left Ronan free for most of the game. When they ran the ball in the middle of the second half they caused serious problems. Still fairly negative tactics.
Sam O’Farrell is the best player of the 2022 minor team, has a huge future in blue & gold if he keeps at it.

Hopefully the quarter finals are not on in the stadium next week.

Johnny Kelly must be approaching “lucky general” status at this stage for his wins with Borrisoleigh @peddlerscross

2 north championship’s with Nenagh isn’t bad going. They have a lot of lads away/injured/suspended to be a county championship winning team.

I’d question their set up today but he seemed to have them galvanised and fit.

Jake was decent today but not at 100%, they need him at that.

A fantastic gesture by Bainisteoir Kiely great to see the interest and hopefully the premier sports radio programme in the country will give it it’s due attention on Saturday @peddlerscross

Kiely faces his biggest challenge in the coming month as he takes over as Abbey senior hurling manager in the Munster B hurling championship.
