Tipperary GAA 2023

Their new pitch has a bank alright. It’s a new pitch without any shelter from the wind so bring all the layers and wet gear.

The old pitch behind the stadium does not.

If you could get any other club pitch bordering thurles except Loughmore they all have good stands suitable to video at this time of the year.

Thanks v much - Intercounty Minor Camogie so pitch availability always suspiciously tight. Needed a pitch half-way and we got that new one

Hopefully the bank has a slight bit of height to use (with a steady hand from the camera guy haha)

It does on the far side, but as said bring plenty of cover.

Thanks for the help!

It’s very exposed looking there.

Not very level looking either for a new field

Good enough for the cunts

My sources tell me all the Sars lads despise the place and would rather train/play anywhere else.

Most of these new pitches built in the last 10-15 years are awful really.

The GAA Pitches in Abbotstown being a classic of this genre.

The banking isn’t very elevated at all chief. If you’ve a van or vehicle you can setup on top of that would be best.

Painful. Thanks

Pretty interesting tbf.

Brian McDonnell is some martyr for punishment in fairness.

I hope he’s able to make it pay.

That’s a worthwhile piece of work. A lot of effort went into it.

Its very interesting and probably only backs up what most people would already know in that there are a huge number of clubs in the South where Hurling has never really been strong.

It must have been back breaking work to carry out.

That’s fantastic. A breakdown across the grades incorporated would be interesting.

Did the Carrolls transfer club when they switched to Tipp?

And are there any clubs with 0 representatives?

I dont see Clerihan or Thurles Fennellys on the list.

Thurles Gaels would cover Fennellys.

Clerihan I’d say have nobody. Only founded in 2005 or so.

It’s brutal effort for little reward other than ‘fair play’ and ‘wow some work!’

In reality there’s no monetary value to it - and he’s in a Team Leader role in Limerick anyway, so wouldn’t be able to commit the time to it properly full-time one would think (for the minute reward!)

Be cool to see a Limerick breakdown of the clubs. Serious work gone into as a few have mentioned above.
