Tipperary GAA 2024

Doubt that would have been good enough from L/C to beat a fully tuned in Kiladangan

Numbers game really isn’t it.

Thought that was Mick Dempsey in the middle of the celebrations alright.

The young Toome snipers in Cooper helmets won’t grow the extra leg just yet.

He’s coaching their footballers.

Not a vintage County Final like the last few years but Toome turned up and made them earn it. Loughmore just play winning hurling and never looked like losing truth be told.

By being depleted the last few years, it let them give exposure to fringe players which now means they have as deep a panel as they’ve ever had. The subs today made all the difference. The Connollys and McGrath’s were all very good throughout.

The first match was decent. Swans were better until a fortuitous goal swung the game in Cashel’s favour. Ger Browne came off the bench and scored a Hollywood point from under the Old Stand to seal the win. They’ve won 4 cups this year between County League, Crosco Cup, West Championship and County Championship. Building resilience and a winning culture. They have the ability to score heavily when on top. Connolly x2, Devon Ryan, Oisin O’Donoghue, Cathal Quinn, Bonnar x2, Ger Browne etc is a lot of quality to have at their disposal. Only had 1-06 on the board after 35 minutes today but finished with 2-17.

How did Boherlahan run them so close at all?

Local Derby played a part but Cashel did hit a flatspot in the middle of the championship but since the Quarter Final they’ve upped it big time.

Holycross completed three in a row U19A Championships yesterday. Made to work for it though and only hit the front late on to win by two. A ridiculous conveyor belt coming through. They’ve lost the last two U17A County Finals narrowly so could realistically win the next two U19A’s again or at least be there or thereabouts.

The great Michael Lowry with some fantastic political opportunism here in the background. You have to admire it.

Mick Dempsey of Laois?

He must be a recent addition, he’s been with Joes for a few years now

He’s been with them since they did the double a few years ago anyway

Yes Loughmore have at least five outsiders involved across Manager, Coaches, S&C etc this year which is highly unusual for them.

A few weeks ago on a rare weekend off for them, they did a training day in UL with Catering Vans and Recovery Trucks on-site.

Paying off though as i dont think they’ve ever been better than this year. Cahill Cup, Mid Championship and Dan Breen now in the bag and I’d be very surprised if they don’t beat Clonmel next week. The Munster Club Hurling is something they will give a fair rattle too.

But hardly full time? He’s manager of his own club and fierce involved in other areas too around. Be hard believe he could be running the show down there too in recent years

Just watched a few Tippfm interviews on Bookface.

TJ Connolly spoke well to be fair to him.

Seanie O’Donoghue giving the usual guff and totally unaware to Carroll slyly digging him about the importance of Devon Ryan & Ger Browne on the day…. The imports got the cunts over the line but they’ll never admit.

“ we’re here to stay for a long time ‘’ says Seanie.

Hes only with the Football with Loughmore this year. Had been doing both the last couple of years.

Eamon Kelly and Mike Ryan from Kiladangan on the Hurling side with Paul Treacy from Toomevara doing S&C and Aidan Stakelum from Holycross the Hurling Coach.

It’s hard credit he could be there and Joes. You’d never be off the road. Fair play I suppose but given the commitment he demands I’m surprised by that

Did Cathal O’Reilly tog?

What’s his story? Liam McGrath gave him special attention in the speech. High praise.

Only a young lad, around 33 I’d say.

Was hurling Senior for Holycross until last year.

Coaching all these all conquering Holycross underage teams too.

Must be very good.

Someone better remind him that staying up next year is there next big task.
This year’s relegation semi finals at senior level contained the last three premier intermediate champions so there’s a gap between this and your mid tier senior teams.
The imports are the difference between them being a mid tier premier intermediate side and now a senior side.

Any truth to the rumours Cahill is doing a cull of the panel?
