Tipperary GGA Animal Attacks Defenceless Man

I’ve only ever driven through Bundoran, couldn’t see much except caravans.

Enniscorthy is a grand town but wouldn’t be the best of towns to live in. My home place is just outside it and most of my mates would be the same. Can’t think of anyone in our circle of mates who would be “from the town”. It’s shiteness is usually overstated due to the high volume of tinkers living on the Shannon side of the town. Couple of bad estates in the town but no more than what you would expect in any town with 10,000 odd people living within the boundaries.

New Ross is a different story though. An utter kip and a dive.

Don’t know about Bunclody. Never spent a whole lot of time in the town. Usually only pass through on the way to somewhere. The schools in Bunclody would be a whole lot better than in Gorey or Enniscorthy. Again, it’s probably overstated due to the high volume of travellers in the area.

Suprised to see Abbeyfeale there alright. The same with Swinford. Wouldn’t have struck me as a scumhole by any means. The selection of Tipperary towns are no surprise though. The regular terrace brawls they enjoy with each other are a fair indicator of their deprived existence.

the most disadvantaged areas in Ireland are the ones desiginated under the RAPID programme

in wexford for example these areas show up

  • Greater Clonard, Maudlintown/Faythe
    -new ross

in waterford
Ballybeg, Larchville, Lisduggan (Local Authority Estates), Roanmore, Mount Sion, Newports Square, Shortcourse

ENNIS - Hermitage, Clancy Park, Cloughleigh, Drumbiggle, Dalcassian, Military Barracks

Cork & Limerick have too many to mention

dont think Donegal has any

Unemployment is really high in Wexford which would bring up the shitholeness factor. Even during the boom, Wexford was in the gutter. Lot of it due to having no major TD rep no doubt.
Enniscorthy is a kip alright-but a better kip than New Ross.

Eh?
You are a townie

It’s the lack of traditional music in the pubs and people dancing on village greens on a summers’ evening that is the root of all the social problems in towns like Carrick on Suir, Clonmel and Tipp town.
A trip through West Clare is proof positive that constant exposure to traditional music has the same effect as a lobotomy on young males rendering them incapable of thought, hence the proliferation of slack-jawed Brendan O’Donnell look-a-likes traipsing the roads of Enistymon and neighbouring towns.

Enniscorthy is a grand town but as Pikeman says there are just no jobs. None of my friends from back home would still be livin there for this reason.

scalder

I’m from the sticks Ncc, Mac on the other hand is definitely a scalder

Nice work, Mullach Ide.

I willingly concede that New Ross is a kip. I’d defend Enniscorthy and Bunclody a bit for the same reasons Mac mentions.

NCC’s correct about Clonard - it’s a dump and a hell hole.

Think we mention shitholes in Ireland every now and again on different threads and I generally point to depressing Pure Mule style midlands kips like Athy, Borris-In-Ossory, Tullamore and places like that.

I’ve been up north at a few Wexford matches in recent years and rafts of Cavan and Monaghan are really fucking grim - Bailieboro, Ballyjamesduff, Cootehill, Emyvale, Scottstown, Carrickmacross and the likes. Dark, dour, depressing shitholes.

Edit: I almost forgot about Shannon.

Luckily enough I have never had any reason to visit Borris apart from to pass through it. It looks like the place that land forgot, that and Athy.

I think we’re all getting a little off topic here, which is the malaise that is in Tipperary GAA.

That’s hardly true though is it. The lack of any economic activity beyond cider making is no doubt a bigger problem than the absence of any culture or traditional music. Clare is fortunate enough to have the Shannon region and the range of industry based there to accommodate the southern half of the county and a number of Irelands primary tourist attractions to accommodate the north. Luckily the long coastline allows for regional seaside resorts which although seasonal still supports and maintains a number of rural communities. Not saying Clare is boomtown but it has at least avoided becoming the social disaster area that much of Tipperary clearly is.

10 years kicking ball with a bog club like Davidstown rids me of my townie status - cunts

Thinly veiled we’re lucky we are so close to Limerick post there from WTB.

I have a lot of respect for Tipperary GAA and Tipperary people in general. The friendliest people in Ireland and also the best dancers - some Tipperary people have what is referred to as ‘The Tipperary Hop’ and this means they are great movers.

i find myself brewing an awful hatred of all things tipperary as the summer starts to arrive and this year is going to be no different by the looks of it.

fucking animals.

You’ve been licking up to alot of people recently. Did someone contact ye about stuff been written on the board, i think they might have.

Of course being you, you could just being sarcastic and its your way of telling these people to go fuck themselves.

Anyway, shithole towns in Cork, in this order;

Dunmanway
Youghal
Macroom
Carrigaline
Mitchelstown
Mallow
Charleville

these are offset by a number of great places/towns

Schull
Clonakilty
Skibbereen
Goleen
Kinsale
Crosshaven
or Anywhere in Beara

The above lists are deemed invalid by your failure to include Buttevant at the top of the worst towns list.
