There’s no real workers in that half forward line for Linerick. No Hickey, no Ryan. I can’t see Hannon, Dodge or Dowling keeping the likes of O’Mahoney & Brendan Maher sufficiently occupied.

Hickey @ corner back has been tried and failed how many times? The 2007 all Ireland final should have been the last time the chap was ever put in there. Not only that but you are denying yourself a strong hb/MF in the process.
Jim bob will do fine at MF but you are losing a ball winner at hf and we are seriously lacking in those while a few lads could do the MF role.
Our major problem last year was not winning any ball in the half forwards, hopefully Hannon has improved in that respect as he matures but it looks as if it hasn’t been addressed at all.

Hannon cant win his own ball??? Complaints over two “small” corner forwards as opposed to the two Joe McKenna/Brian Begley type skyscrapers we usually start at 13 and 15??? This is all news to me… 
I see this opening up into a very loose, free scoring game. I have a reservation about midfield in that neither Browne nor Ryan are able to deliver quality ball, but Tipp tend to bypass midfield a far bit and I’m assuming Ryan will pick up Woodlock and should be able to stay with him and counter-act his runs. I wouldn’t mind seeing Mulcahy drop out the field a bit leaving Tobin to work off Downes outside. If you had a Mulcahy and Hannon picking up breaks on the 65 and running at the Tipp defence I could see us causing them serious bother.
I think it will all boil down to which set of forwards are on the best form.

The tipp players are scared shitless after tales of limerick’s u21 challenge game. O’Shea pleading at them for volunteers to take the field while the windy cunts stare at their boots. Apparently some of the tipp forwards have agreed to play provided they don’t have to mark Tom Condon.

No, because Tom was not actually marking this Bubbles character for all of them scores, was only on him for the goal and one of the points. No in fact Tom was the lad that ended Eoin Kelly’s career, and made the legend look an old old man with one thunderous shoulder. Tipp crumbled soon after. Thanks for the memories Eoin.

Eoin Kelly’s career is over since 2010, even in 2009 and 2010 he wasn’t half the player he was in his prime.

Genuinely, my fav memory of Eoin Kelly was the point he scored against us in 06 i think (may have been 07 too but nearly certain it was 06). It was the one where he comes out in front of Geary under a puck out, brings the ball down into his hand with the hurley and in the same movement strikes over his shoulder going away from goal for a point.Super score, super hurler.
