To Kill A Mocking Bird

To Boo Radley

I’m awaiting a formal address from Atticus.

Great spot Puke.

It was times like these when I thought my father, who hated guns and had never been to any wars, was the bravest man who ever lived.

Looks like a decent documentary I’ve missed here. Better than the muggy book club fools that wanker Tubridy had talking shite about this on the radio last week.

Great book, great film.

I’ve never seen the film. Is it good? Be hard to live up to the book.

Read this for the junior cert and read it again recently. The only book I’ve read twice. Very close to being my favourite

it was on bbc 4 last night…Gregory Peck won an oscar for his portrayal of Atticus Finch, decent enough film if a little dated…worth a watch, in fairness there aren’t too many books that have been made into films where the film has been better

The book was great - loved the way the two themes coverged in the end.

Our English teacher had a theory that, not only did Euell beat up his daughter, he probably raped her as well. Interesting theory to tell a bunch of 14 year olds.

I saw the film once, can’t recall what Peck’s performance in it was like, but if it was like his Omen performance, then it was as wooden as fuck.

It’s a while since I read it but was that not suggested in the book?

Suggested that he beat her up alright.

Don’t think the rape was mentioned.

FFS!
