SF’s Ferris ‘a disgrace’ for refusal to condemn IRA killing

Sinn Fein’s Toireasa Ferris was branded a disgrace last night after refusing to condemn the IRA murder of Detective Garda Jerry McCabe.

Showing a lack of sensitivity about the death of a hero garda, Ms Ferris says she finds it “annoying” to be asked about the killing of Det Gda McCabe.

The daughter of Sinn Fein TD Martin Ferris was unapologetic when asked about the refusal of her party to condemn the shooting to death of Det Gda McCabe by an IRA gang during an armed robbery in Adare, Co Limerick, in 1996.

“I have said I will not condemn, I do regret,” she said on Newstalk’s ‘Breakfast Show’. “It is annoying that commentators and opponents keep bringing this up to try and damage the campaign in some way.”

There do seem to be a variety of versions of her in terms of appearance, but she isn’t bad. That said, it’d probably not be enough for me to get over her appaling political/murdering lineage.

Conor Foley posted an announcement to the cause Help elect Toirasa Ferris to the European Parliament.

With only 1 more day to go to Polling Day, Toireasa’s team would like to send out a big thank you to everyone who joined the cause. Its been a hard slog but it’s been a rewarding one.

Hopefully it will be a lot more rewarding when all the votes are counted on Sunday evening. If the polls are to believed then Toirasa stands a fighting chance of winning the last seat. However, your efforts over the next 24 hours could be the deciding factor.

So, once again please do everything you can to encourage all your family, friends, work colleagues etc to give Toirasa their number 1 vote. Every vote will be crucial.

Toirasa’s campaign has brought a badly needed breath of fresh air to politics, far removed from the corrupt and wink and nod politics that has gone before.

Lets send this government the strongest message possible. We want change!!
