Not seen this. What has he said now?
In fairness he doesnât seem the sharpest. Probably the only man who ever lived who claims he was misquoted in his own autobiography.

What happened there?
Some scandal about an AFL player who posted some revenge porn on social media. Tadgh suggested the girl shouldnât have got into a situation where the picture could be taken.
An All-Ireland final a few years back. Kerry v Cork. Ball was thrown in and he smacked a Cork lad straight in the head/face. Blatant red card. Got away without as much as a yellow card I think. (Was it Nicholas Murphy he hit, @gilgamboa @caoimhaoin ?)
Kerry went on to win and he fucked off back to Oz. Released an autobiography not long after where it said in the book something along the lines of âI wanted to make a statement from the start. I planned to hit him hard. Cop that.â
Bit of a hullabaloo after when it came out, he claims his ghost writer had misinterpreted what he was saying and it was never his intention to hit him or hurt anyone.
he should have the cork cunt harder
It was Nicholas Murphy alright.

Was indeed Nicholas.
Very good Irishman abroad podcast with him recently where he speaks about the incident. Was a cold calculated filthy move that i would have done myself without a second thought

Cute Kerry hoorism.
No ref was ever going to send a player off ten seconds into an All-Ireland. He basically got a free shot at one of the oppositions best players and took him out.
I see Tadgh Kennelly got in on the victim blaming act down in the AFL
Excellent book published last few years called Night Moves (i think) which is an expose of the rape culture in australian sport. Won sports book of the year. Good read.
And Roy Keane too obviously?
Slightly risky making it so fucking obvious. If the ref had the slightest bit of balls he would have shown him red

All in the game yo
Can someone throw up some footage of this please?
The one topic that is guaranteed to draw out the weirdos in our society is paedophilia.
Gets worse every time you see it. Was a shocker.
Wasnât a sports book in any way shape or form though.

Agreed. A book about sportspeople
Iirc, it won the William hill sports book of the year. To be honest, it shouldnât have been on the long list. It was a decent enough, if somewhat depressing read.
You are the one making a connection between Hook and the Cusack/TH case where there is none. You are assuming some âlogicalâ follow on, logical in your head only. You are characterising it as victim blaming (again people disagree with that assertion), it is your assertion and then you are using it as a stick to beat posters who find Cusackâs reference abhorrent. Defending Cusackâs character reference with your mental gymnastics is bizarre here.
If you disagree that what Hook said was victim blaming, well I can only presume English isnât your first language.
If you defend what Hook said and vilify for Cusack this, well, youâre a simpleton, frankly.
But that hasnât been in doubt in your case since about your second post on his forum.
No, he wouldnât have anyone defending him. You have created this fantasy defense in your head.
Em, youâre a bit slow off the mark. Weâve already had several people on this forum defending the blaming of a rape victim.
Why would you defend one case of victim blaming and not another?
No, you donât know this.
Yes we do.
He knowingly gave a reference to a man guilty of sexually grooming an underage kid, whom the defendant was acquainted with through the gaa, the sport Cusack lives and breathes. (We know it was within the law to do so, we get it). Hook made comments regarding the safety of women and a rape case, where it was disputed if they were victim blaming. He and others didnât think it was victim blaming, he made it quite clear the alleged rapist was a disgusting individual in his opinion, but he has since rowed back and apologised for the remarks.
Again, either brush up on your English or take your head out of your arse and read and listen to what Hook said.
You seem to be saying Cusackâs actions and character ref are favourable compared to Hooks remarks?
They are. One gave a character reference, which is entirely within the law, and in no way disputed the seriousness of the crime.
They other publicly blamed a rape victim and sarcastically asked why she should have been surprised at being raped.
Itâs a strange moral compass you possess.
Megalolz at some Yank fruit loop telling anybody else about having a moral compass about anything.
