Italia 90 followed quickly by the election of Mary Robinson as President started our process of growing up as a nation.

There were some great comments posted on here during the general election by the likes of @Fagan_ODowd, @balbec, @anon67715551 and a few others with plenty of life experience about them about the troubles.
It would be fascinating to get more insight into yesteryear be it the 60s, 70s or 80s from them comparing the social norms of their day to those of today such as school/university, entering the workforce, socialising, courting, marriage etc.
