Gerry was brilliant, came across much better on the radio when you couldn’t see him, I remember first listening when I was supposed to be studying for my leaving in the couple of weeks before the exams, a gas cunt

There was savage hatred for him on here. I remember being part of it but no idea what it was about.
He was a sneery overpaid obnoxious cunt but that was just my own opinion.
Because he was a confident guy
He was a truly great radio personality. For whatever reason it just never transferred onto television. He came across as funny and likeable on radio but on telly he immediately looked like a complete bollocks and there was no coming back from that.
