Ruperts enforcer

Just watched a fly on the wall doc on rte2 there on a few independent toy shops around the country. Brilliantly done.

I’m going to watch the rest of programme about Peter O’Toole now on TG4. Which finishes up at 10:20pm. Which is the same time Mrs. Brown’s Boys starts on BBC (cc: of @iron_mike). Which I’m going to half watch. And pretend to enjoy. I think. I’ve had enough Guinness that I think I might be able to enjoy it in a stage Roy Curtis way.

Have not seen that and would be interested. What is it called @Lazarus?

I think I enjoyed Mrs. Brown’s Boys - cc: of @iron_mike. It’s a great example to those of us like meself and Roy Curtis about how to commodify Stage Dublinness for an INTERNET audience, in the bleedin’ anyways.

I’ve always thought that myself. WTWB is probably better tbf

Top drawer interview with Tommy Tiernan and John Spillane. I’m not even a John Spillane fan (of his music), but Tommy doing great and I love finding out how these musos live day to day or earned money starting out etc. John seems a bit eccentric and a 100% alright sort.

Wonderful stuff. Two mighty men. Those 2 songs spillane sang were beautiful.

What’s this on?

I am watching this - it isn’t bad but the whole Tommy Tiernan interviewing thing is comically overrated

I shared a Taxi from Dingle Town out to Tigh Paidi with John once upon a time.

A nice man.

John is a weird bastard but most artists are

RTE 1. Tommy Tiernan show special.

Are these new?

I missed the first part but it’s reads on the RTE Guide like it’s freshly filmed content for Christmas.

John Spillane’s shtick is all put on, he’s a daycent skin.

He’s a powerful performer, if you get the right crowd he holds them in the palm of his hand, I’m in my element at his gigs

Yeah great interview. Interesting life lived. Sharing the room with a lodger as a young lad isn’t one I’ve heard from anyone before
