Tonight's TV - Continuation of earlier drivel

Bernard Tapie was a great man. The greatest President France never had and the sort of man Ireland needs as Taoiseach.

A total shit with a heart.

He actually looked like he could’ve been Irish too. That’s a great line about the Olympiakos goalkeeper.

Please repeat it because my RTE Player is a piece of shit.

That goal Cascarino got against the North in 1989 might be my favourite ever header.

Tapie was whispering in Cas’ ear about how he’d paid off the Olympiakos keeper. Cascarino went out and shot on sight only for the keeper to produce a string of saves. Cas also mentioned a story about injections pre-match and Tapie taking one when Cascarino dithered. That would’ve piqued Paul Kimmage interest.

Is he back with the original wife?

A nawful godhelpus Tony, the archetypal own worst enemy, except I’d say he broke his families hearts. Gambling is a shocking thing

Was Tony a problem gambler? I see he’s doing adverts for Tonybet on TV, I assumed that was a coincidence and not started by him or named after him?

It was a bit odd gambling wasn’t mentioned at all. He was calling himself a professional gambler at one stage.

Think himself and Sheringham used to play a lot of poker iirc. Teddy is possibly a low-key racist sadly.

He’d just be fronting it and taking a cut. Wouldn’t be his own money. There’s a gillion gambling companies.

He was telling a story on talksport last week about playing a poker event with Boris Becker.

Any good poker player would say that if they were as good as Boris Becker at tennis/had his stroke today, they wouldn’t be playing poker.

A fierce gambler. His book is a great read. He’s always been into the gambling and the poker etc.
