Iâm not anti Adams at all when it comes to comparison with most of the creeps in politics, I just find it strange that he always denied something that was so irrelevant- althought I suppose he probably didnât trust the Brits to put him in jail for being in an illegal organisation.
Anyway, how do you revoke your membership of the IRA? Not pay your annual subs?

id say it is relevant if been in the IRA is a crime as you point out
But in the overall scheme of things it didnât really matter
