generally i shy away from the printed press in Ireland, their pan unionist opinion pieces sicken me- the irish times was basically recuiting for the british army a few weeks back & the free state army had to complain about it- anything from INM are centre right west brit tripe so there isnt much choice -

Anyone see CSI NY last night?,it was the hurling addition,fucking hilarious stuff.Some baddie called Brandon Wexford(no joke) was bein pursued by the crack team,he was a member of Queens hurling club and was paid a visit by the cops whilst training was on,they had everyone talking Irish for a start,when they got Mr Wexford to talk English he turned out to have one of these Yank pretending to be from the North accents,the fella who researched this must have googled hurling and saw ice hockey mentioned cos the hurlers were all hugging each other after every score and this was only training!!,maybe they got hold of some footage of a Waterford game:D.
There was Gaelic football nets in the goals which were under 12 style and the pitch was only about 50 yards long,at least they were promoting the sport i suppose,i didnt watch the last half hour or so but i have it taped,im sure theres more gripping hurling action to come.
