Any recommendations for Cork City gents?

There’s a fella who cooked for Emperor Hirohito who has the best restaurant in the country

That deserves more likes than The Beatles

What are you looking for?

Elbow Lane is nearly always the answer to this Q… Steak and Fish cooked on a BBQ… Unreal. But it’s small and doesn’t take bookings which is a dose with nowhere to go for a pint while you wait

Jacobs on the Mall is top end but is excellent. Electric has good food bette than avg pub grub fare

See the post above this.

But they will let you have a drink outside while you wait- there’s two tables out front - maybe a few more now

Seen that place and thought it looked nice. Staying in the Montenotte. What’s the food like there?

Good i believe. Never been. You can walk to mccurtain St from there… Dozens of places on that street.

Son of a bun is a great burger spot

Are restaurants making serious coin now with the plight of the pub?

Lower capacity though .

They have to take bookings now though no?

Less people.pushed about going to them

No idea. Why would they?

Is that not the guidelines? My one trip to a pub this summer involved booking a table.

Don’t know. Ate in a place in Dublin without a booking anyway. But they took all our details for contact tracing

Had lunch today in Di Luca on Harcourt St. Seafood Linguine, sparkling water and a double espresso for Dessert

It’s a great spot and I would highly recommend it if you are in Dublin 2 and fancy a nice Italian. I’ve promised myself to return soon for dinner.

I thought Fishy Fishy in Kinsale was absolutely brilliant, although I see that there’s another Kinsale restaurant in TripAdvisors top 10 today.
