Some poor bastard of a chef hacking through the forest looking for sorrel and truffles in an attempt to appease an ungrateful mob of name droppers and wannabe epicures. Sure you couldn’t make it up.
Christ above.
That’s what you’re dealing with
I saw Lucinda fillet some posh Chinese place in Blackrock at the weekend
Ernie whaley had a cut off it a couple of weeks ago too. The post office place ?
Probably, they were charging 50 quid for a beef in black bean sauce anyway
I’ve never eaten a good Chinese meal in Ireland and never a bad one outside ofIreland
I hope it was all you can eat?

Go to the M&L the next time you are in Dublin. I’ve had plenty of Duff Chineses outside of Ireland.
your man Heston Blumenthals place was out in rural Berkshire.
Deepest darkest Berkshire an hr in a car from London city centre
I had a lovely Chinese meal in Zambia before. You went into a mechanic’s garage and in the upstairs there was this relatively swanky restaurant
I would very rarely eat Chinese food, at home or abroad, though.

Would you drive out and home for a meal in say Tullamore?
China Szuachan in Sandyford is decent.
Chinese food in China I could not stomach.

I would regulalry drive an hour somewhere nice for my dinner. There is probably 2 or 3 million people within a half hour of the fat duck
I was in the Lucky Tortoise last week and it was surprisingly good. Decent value as well. 20 quid for everything on the dim sum menu.

It took me ages to find a good one in New Zealand and the place absolutely riddled with the cunts.

Would you think so. I find Chinese at home or abroad pretty similar. Mostly tampered with to cater for the local taste. Indian on the other hand is a completely different kettle of fish. Absolute shite in this country but a lot better abroad.
fried grasshoppers and shite like that, the Chinese are filthy animals
gg
You’d need to be sum dim fucker to pay 50 euro for a bit of chicken and sauce
Some decent Indians in Dublin. Pickle on Camden st and for a take away tadka house in Rathmines.
Fuck all in Kilkenny. Couple of restaurants alright but very, very average.
