What’s the cut off time for restaurants in Dublin?I’ll be getting into town around 9pm Friday night so could be 9.30 and all by the time I’m checked in.
About 10. Some places might take you at 10.15 or even 10.30. Download opentable app and book online with that.
Trocadero down near College Green will serve away until after 11. Caters to the post theatre crowd. Quality food but you might find the ambience and crowd a bit off-putting.
I think it’s a smashing ambiance
It might not suit what @Cicero_Dandi is what I meant. The average age there would also be much closer to you than to him. It’s a cracker of a restaurant and no surprise it continued to thrive during the bad times. Plenty of ‘old money’ spent there.

It should be no bother for a well travelled man of the world like @Cicero_Dandi
More a TGI fridays type of a fella
What’s that?
Slightly more upmarket but significantly more expensive version of McDonald’s
Sounds horrific.
Chuck E. Cheese’s would do him
I don’t know that place either guys. I wouldn’t eat out much, I prefer cooking myself but can you stop recommending the cheap, tacky places ye frequent?
Thanks.
What exactly are you looking for? Fine dining or a feed or something in between?

The Good World Chinese on George’s St and the Elephant and Castle in Temple Bar serve late. Both are good spots, pal.
Might be changing my plans in any case. Have a stag in Kilkenny on the Saturday so was planning on hitting Dublin the Friday night but think I’ll just go to Kilkenny straight now on the Saturday.
I was going to recommend Elephant and Castle if he doesn’t want anything too fancy. No booking required either
Where’s the best takeaway for soakage in Kilkenny lads?
The Blue Door, right beside Langtons

Heard it’s gone downhill in a big way lately. And the one in Rathmines is supposed to be poor.
Tadka is probably the best Indian I’ve ever had. It’s unreal.
Siri opposite Christchurch cathedral was recommended to be by an Indian lad as the best and most authentic Indian in Ireland but it’s been having renovations for months and I haven’t been able to try it yet.
