Shouk is the best restaurant in Drumcondra if you like Middle Eastern Food.
Menu looks a bit limited in the new place and its beyond the canal boundary.
Yeah i was just looking at that mate as you typed it, I was looking at a map of Drumcondra and restaurants and recognised the name Shouk. I’m pretty sure admired poster @Big_Dan_Campbell has given Shouk the thumbs up.
Not sure if it’s fancy enough for people in formal suit attire?
If you are in formal suit attire tip into Parnell Square and go into Mr Fox or Chapter One. They both do early bird or pre theater as we say in the Capital.
I don’t want to drive in and around the city centre i’m used to country roads. I suppose i could tip in on a dart or what not from Drumcondra and back again? Might look a bit scabby to my acquaintance who i’m trying to impress.
No you could be placed on a wooden bench beside the car park out the back
You’d be five minutes away in a taxi.
Thanks lads i’ll try to book early bird for Mr. Fox.
Fantastic
That’s been booked now for an evening in the near future. Of course ye will understand my confidentiality around divulging the date and time I’ll be dining at Mr. Fox, given you wouldn’t know whose prying eyes would be watching and listening for a country man in a suit up in the big smoke, and clearly unsure of his surroundings. I will give a review after I’ve been there.
Ate in Chapter One this evening. Absolutely outstanding as always.
The build-up to this feed is quintessentialy reminiscent of @thedunph on the haircut voyage.
There’ll be the voyage, the transport issues, the weather, the staff, some randomer looking for a greyhound, the inevitable smelly/scruffy fucker before they decide on a chipper.
Sometimes you just gotta step back and admire quality.
A dealbreaker for most on here
Aye, now the quality of the quality on show is another matter entirely
As the lads have said you’d need to be booking a good few months in advance. The place only holds around 36 max.
I’m really looking forward to the tale of smarks’ evening. Honestly, it’s like a ray of light in a dark world.
You ok hun? xoxo
It’s dark mate.
It’s always darkest before the dawn
