Top 10 Irish Restaurants (that spidey visited in a week )

They have always charged city centre prices there - mainly based on their scenic location and similar price gouging as part of the wright group. You should have drove on down the road to the Straw for a stout and pizza

1826 absolutely top notch always last night.

Monkfish scampi to start
Beef Shortrib with lobster fritters for mains.
Absolutely savage apple crumble for desert.

This is a poor photo of the main:

Nice article. Have good memories of going to the nook for a couple of drinks and then Aherne’s afterwards for food. Was always fairly popular even in an empty town like Youghal.

I’ve been meaning to go there again we were there once about four years ago. Would you have to book a table far out?

Ya you’d generally want to be booking at least 2/3 weeks in advance to get a prime slot.

Had Sunday lunch in the Tannery in Dungarvan there today. Absolutely smashing food. And great value.

If you gave them a fiver they might cook it.

Ate in Mickey Finns, Redcross, Co Wicklow last night. Grub was very good.

Ate a slow afternoon lunch at The Kingsley in Cork last week. 55 for 3 courses. The food and choice on fixed menu for our table was quite excellent.

Lovely bit of lunch in the Fish Shop in Benburb St. Fish (hake) was 10/10 - fresh and snow white- jockeys a bit overdone but grand. Serious wine list if that way inclined. A small spot but they were turning away punters of a Monday - a good sign.
