Has @Fagan_ODowd frequented this eating house when down on a trip to Walsh Park?
Prices not available at time of writing…
Aka
Will wait and see what level of advance bookings this soft soaping interview drives before we decide on a level of gouging
I think I had a cup of tea and a bun there once.
The location isnt great. ‘Views across Merrion square’ aka views into Holles St and the encampment of tents outside the International Protection Office
Had dinner in Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud last night. Patrick knocked it out of the park again. A smashing meal.
This appeared just above the cost of living crisis posts about €25 burgers
I remember accompanying an out of town friend there around 15yrs ago who had nabbed an interview there. He paused outside to look at the menu, seen spiced pigeon and aborted the mission.
There was no spiced pigeon on the menu.
What did you have?
An Aged Comté soufflé.
Wicklow Sika Deer.
Cheese.
Was it deer?
No idea. I wasn’t paying.
Pigeon is delicious.
What is a Comte souffle?
Comte is cheese. Souffle is a shit tonne of eggs and flour made into a batter, poured into a ramikin and timed prefectly to rise.
Savoury in this instance with chheese but often a dessert (chocolate) too.
Had a smashing lunch in Caffe di Napoli there on Westland Row
Is this the kind of place one would need to book in advance Fagan? Will be in town tomorrow evening and was thinking of grabbing supper there.
