Top 3 hurlers of all time

Keaney, Sutcliffe and Rushe.

Liam Walsh played back in the 90s (from '92 on) and wouldn’t be near top three.

I don’t think any of the 90/91 team were as good as the best players from the team of the last 8 years or so.

John Twomey and Brian Kelleher were probably the pick of that bunch but there were no real standouts.

Is Austin Gleeson gets his shit together over the next couple of seasons, he’ll get into the hall of fame.

Simply unplayable at his best.

Nogra best 15

Colm Callanan
Sylvie Linnane
Michael Howley (kept Eddie Keher scoreless from play every time they met, absolutely frightening)
Tom Helebert
Padraig Niland (also Ardrahan, like Howley from the superb 70s team)
Iarla Tannion
Gerry McInerney
Steve Mahon
Paddy Gantley
Bernie Forde
Vincent Mullins (ditto)
Johnny Glynn
Josie Gallagher
Noel Lane
Conor Whelan

There was a long debate on whether to include Gort or not, with the vote split 50:50. The got in on a coin toss the poxy cunts.

The aul lad always reckoned Mick Mackey and Nicky Rackard were the greatest. He’d also eulogise Tony Doran.

Mine reckoned all the Rackards were right up there but that Jimmy Doyle was overrated.

He said Kilkenny’s Billy Fitzpatrick was a very underrated player and that Ray Cummins was class but a bit windy when the going got tough.

He sure is, thus far, and probably ever far – and emphatically so. Then again, SF is the most brilliant corner back to appear since Ollie Canning (and Wayne Sherlock).

Early Michael Cahill was terrific. But SF, even there, is ahead.

Back the way, Paul Delaney was gifted.

He was almost the equal of Shane McGuckian

The Foleys and the Boothmans were clearly out of time.

In that they were in time?

You really are an awful fuckin’ eejit.

Not a bare clue. Just looking for the measure of attention dictated by lack of knowledge, lack of coherence, lack of nous, lack of wit.

Classic corner-back play by Paul Delaney here at 12:11:

Try me

Incorrect

He knows as much about hurling as he does about US politics, and that’s being kind

Try me pet

I would not try you for so much as a nettle, even though so clearly in sight of a ruin.

Now, now… Let water find its own level. 'Tis a better septic tank in the long run.

No need to drag Tipperary into it.

Probably one of the best if not the best Munster final I have ever attended
