28th May, 1961 when Galway hammered us below in Nenagh. I moved across the border in protest and joined the fledgling Nogra. It turned out to be the only game Galway won in Munster, but I don’t regret it.

Have you ever seen his hurl? It’s displayed in one of the Flannerys pubs in Limerick. I believe I posted it up here a few years ago and it turned Limerick’s hurling fortunes around.
