I was out for a morning coffee around the IFSC this morning and I was walking behind two local residents. One of them said to the other he’d “bet something was gonna go down today”. He proclaimed he “could just feel something in the air”. I took this something to be gangland activity and I mentally agreed as it seemed eerily calm. I proceeded back to my desk to continue my important excel and PowerPoint based work. This was circa 11.15am and I’m not yet aware of anything happening in the area, however, tensions remain high.

He’s drawing his pension now. He was a hardy buck, they used to love splashing his picture across the Sunday world on a slow news week.

I used to live next door to one of his “molls”. She would knock in now and then to tell us to turn the music down.

Ive seen him twice at Nandos on Mary St with a dark haired woman. I discovered subsequently his daughter works for Axa nearby so it was probably her.

Heard from a good source that the copper found dead in ballymun shot himself as he was in gerry hutch s pocket and had told the coppers to stand down that day of regency shooting.
He had suicide planned for weeks, apparently. Finances in order, Office cleaned out into boxes that day.
