What an epic race this should be, I fully expect Contador to do that drug riddled Froome a new one. I can’t see anyone else winning it. I think the super clean Valverde has a better chance than Nibali to finish 3rd. Kittel is faster than Cavendish so those English pricks shouldn’t have anything to cheer about in the 1st 3 stages. Bardet will win the younger riders GC, Astana the teams and TVG and Bardet will finish top 10. Demare will be top 3 in pints. enjoy the Tour
I see Emma O Reilly is cashing in now with a book out. She was on the last word yesterday. Has forgiven Lance and they’re besties again.
I will watch the sprints in the first week ,always entertaining.
Drug addled cunt versus drug addled cunt I see. Some things never change.
I was at the launch. She is an interesting character. I bought the book, but was chatting to the author, who, it transpires, wrote jade goodys book, and iirc, that repulsive woman who was Jordan’s rival, I can’t remember her name off the top of my head. My friend knows Emma o Reilly very well, and reckons she just misses being a player. She told me herself that Paul kimmage had stopped ringing her since the book came out, at her portrayal of lance. It strikes me that, although she is well respected and successful now, her life still revolves around lance to an unhealthy degree. Maybe she can move on now and forget about him. Hope so.
The climbing is where it’s at for me. I love it. Contador, valverde, Horner, nibali, a role call of clean cycling. Isn’t it a great sport. I think contador will walk it. Froome will crack at some point, and not recover I think.
She has stuck boot into Walsh. Very critical of how he abandoned her after using her for story on Lance. Found it bit odd as they seemed close even a year ago.
I haven’t read it, but I thought they were close. Walsh was less than objective about his employers team though, which may have clouded things. Next time I meet her, ill get a lowdown and report back.
She is a very nice lady though.
Walsh will use anyone to get on.
I love the way the sprinters teams set it up for the finish. The doping is more blatant in the hills.
It’s all a great watch for me
Sometimes the flat stages with a short sharp climb near or at the end of the race are most fascinating.
They seem to be the stages that throw up an odd surprise win.
Did she take pipe from Lance or what?
Kittel takes the first stage as Cavendish causes yet another crash. The Manxman took a bad fall though and limped over the line 3 minutes later.
Broken collar bone probably. His own fault leaning in on Gerrans. Quickstep made a balls of it, hit the front too soon and Cav was left on his own at the end.
Interview with O’Reilly is here - http://www.todayfm.com/player/podcasts/The_Last_Word_with_Matt_Cooper/The_Last_Word_with_Matt_Cooper/17001/0/emma_oreilly. Worth listening to if you have 22 odd mins spare.
Thanks Mac
How many days are they spending in the UK?
