St. xaviers or something like that ?
Wasn’t it a blind or deaf school, or something like that?
If you folded the note a certain way the nun was the image of Barry Davies the commentator
I’ll let someone else crop it up for the lookalikes thread
As remarked upon by Baddiel and Skinner.
The place the x-men went is behind the Mater?
No. I’m unsure where the school photo was taken, could be anywhere.
Part of the trick was identifying the Mater hospital. The school was named by some wag then as “the school at the back of the Mater”.
So that’s the answer?
Essentially and in a word - Yes, it is.
Wimbledon
Grand National
Grand national
I would also have guessed Wimbledon as I’d imagine it much easier to film and broadcast then either Horse Racing or a GP, and is in England so easier than a WC
British Grand Prix.
I’m sure I remember hearing at some point over the last 30 years of my life that there was a ridiculous situation with the Grand National where they wouldn’t televise it and when they did the owners of Aintree did the commentary themselves and made a total hames of it?
has to be the tennis
Wimbleton
Would have thought grand national
We’re fair being left hanging here…
Yea, London as well. So I’d be confident enough with that answer. Cameras were big and bulky back then.
