Trivia

Fine Young Cannibals were sometimes abbreviated to FYC but I don’t think that’s eligible.

JLS and SWV.

There are 17,576 potential three letter abbreviations.

ASG

TFK, funnily enough (have never listened to them).

CCR

Not giving that one.

Like the Fine Young Cannibals, Creedence Clearwater Revival were primarily known by their full name rather than an abbreviation.

It’s the same with, say, Ocean Colour Scene.

ELO were primarily known as ELO rather than Electric Light Orchestra.
OMD were primarily known as OMD rather than Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark.

Few people know what KLF stands for (Kopyright Liberation Front).

Complete guess. 2005?

No, 2005 was the last time neither finalist had previously won the World Championship, but Matthew Stevens had previously lost the 2000 final.
