TTk RWC 2015

I’ll have to admit i’ll probably take a quick peek. I can be a right sick cunt at times.

I’m embracing the World Cup guys.

New Zealand will beat France in the final. I just worked it out there during lunch.

@cluaindiuic and I made good money back in 2011 backing to beat the handicaps in the mismatch games from what I recall

G Thornley of the Times reckons Fiji +28 is a bargain. I’ll prob go against him

Is your man Joe Schmidt (sp ?) a bit of a simpleton ?

Apparently he’s going to play a full strength team against the not so mighty Canadians

I’ll put my money down on Ireland getting hammered by New Zealand in the final.

The French won’t beat Ireland. In fact they’d probably throw it just to face the NZ in 1/4s.

France never lose to Ireland in the World Cup

They will this time.

A couple of tournament long bets to start but I will also be putting up bets for most matches starting today with England Fiji which kicks off tomorrow.

Top Tryscorer/Top Pointscorer

6 tries should win this, most firms 1/4 1-5. No juice in the prices of any backs from Wales, Australia, England, Ireland, South Africa. New Zealand France and Argentina the three nations to focus on. Most top tryscorers do the damage in the group stages and with Namibia in their group NZ and Argentina have a distinct advantage, I could put up Milner-Skudder who has had a brilliant time of things this season but the 10/1 doesn’t excite. The farcical prices have gone about Juan Imhoff (150 into 66) but the Argentinian winger is still a bet at that. He could run riot against Namibia, likely to score at least one against Georgia/Tonga and Argentina could well get to a 3rd/4th place playoff. Confidence is high having notched a hattrick against S Africa in the rugby Championship and he has world cup tryscoring experience from 2011.
France are another side I expect to outperform expectations. The 40/1 about Noa Nakaitaci is laughably big. He should be well known to Clermont followers but this speedy and physical winger has only made 4 appearances for France since switching his allegiance from Fiji. He’ll put a few away in the group stages which could see him place at least.

0.5 ew Imhoff 66/1 VC (4 places)
1 ew Nakaitaci 40/1 Betfred (5 places)

Top Pointscorer again will amass most points in group stages. One from left field here is Juan Martin Hernandez. He’ll play at centre but has a wealth of kicking experience and with Sanchez struggling for form I wouldn’t be surprised if he took over kicking duties. He will score trys also and if they do let him step forward the 100/1Ladbrokes offer is complete madness.

1 ew JM Hernandez top point scorer 100/1 Ladbrokes (1/5 3 places)

Group bets to follow.

RamblerRED knows the score here mate even though Ireland have never come close to beating France at the World Cup.

Welcome back King.

Who does this Hernandez chap play for ?

They beat France in a friendly in Dublin in February though and they also beat them in a friendly in France the spring before. But point taken, there’s a huge difference between challenge matches and the World Cup and France have routinely annihilated Ireland in World Cups (or World Cup’s as @GeoffreyBoycott rather amusingly calls them).

That was no friendly match back in February or in Paris the previous spring. That was the European Championship.

Keith Earls was second highest try scorer in the last World Cup with 5. Looks like he might retain his spot on the wing and surely will run in a couple v Canada and whoever the other shit team we play is. 80/1.

The home countries, the bloody French and the Eye talians.

They’re in November when the denizens of the antipodes visit the British Isles and France.
