TTK's Profitable Selections 2012

If you don’t see them winning this weekend does it not make sense to wait and then pile on at better odds on Monday?

Yes which is what I’m doing for the single bet. However for the trixie when I have the other two teams involved who will both decrease in odds after this weekend it makes sense to do it now. My only bet on Biarritz as of now if one part of that trixie.

Grand so. I’d seen enough of them to give them a skip but I can see the logic of the Ulsterbet particularly if the strategy is to lay them in the final.

Connacht will be hard bet

Fired an email off to VC and they have priced him, initially at 50/1 which I took all of and now he’s 33/1 so…

Bet 144

Jared Payne top tryscorer in the HC. 1 point e/w 33/1 VC

1/4 odds first 4.

Earlsey out for Munster along with Ronan, Coughlan and Du Preez-might be worth putting a few quid on them shipping a heavy beating in Paris.

O’Connell back in which is a bit of a surprise.

Decent price.

I had a few quid on nick Williams EW @150-1. He’s 175 with paddy power.

As good a place as any for this question. How bad are this Zebre crowd? 2/1 at home to Connacht. I know Connacht beat them already this year but I don’t buy too much into the early season Celtic league form.

Quite poor as far as the Heino goes Mac-they are made up of half the Italian team with one or two foreign imports who aren’t particularly good thrown in. Wouldn’t be surprised if they beat Connacht at home though but it will be all downhill after that.

Shithouse altogether. But I wouldn’t ever fancy Connacht away from home

TTK, as the forums pre-eminent rugby tipster can I have your views on the following.

Will there be a new winner of HEC.
5/6 yes and 5/6 no

No would appear to be a corker of a bet with Leinster, Toulouse, Munster, Ulster, Northampton, Ulster & Tigers all on your side.

Who is that with Dan?

I like the sound of that Dan. :strokechin:

On the other side then is Clermont, Toulon, Quins, Saracens, Biarritz, Ospreys.

I like it too.

The odds on Ulster winning it has collapsed. What happened?

They’ll be dancing on the Shankill tonight.

What a night at Ravenhill. Ulster putting 41 points past Castres, showing flair and attacking rugby that most sides could only dream of and that was without Ferris and Williams. They secured a bonus point and are now as short as 12/1 outright and 3/4 for pool success.

Dan - 5/6 isn’t bad I suppose, (it’s 4/5 now at current prices if you dutch those teams) but seeing as you’re already on Ulster at 20/1 I’d let it run.

Mac - Zebre have proven themselves to be a very average outfit. Given the fact it is their first HC game at home they will battle bravely but Connacht should still beat them. Stay away from punting on that one.

Bet 145

Saracens (-3) v Edinburgh 3 points. 10/11 numerous.

Last season I was a bit of an Edinburgh fan, we even backed them successfully to beat Toulouse last season, mainly due to the fact that they are such a tough team to beat at home. They overachieved and now the odds don’t represent the chances of Sarries covering the handicap. Edinburgh look to have regressed badly this season. They have won just two of their 6 games in the Rabo, losing at home to Treviso last weekend and getting spanked by Dragon’s a week previous to that. Laidlow is out of sorts and their pack isn’t as strong as 12 months ago, front row especially. Sarries will bully them at the breakdown and should win this one. The addition of Ashton to their team is a positive and they have been playing some nice rugby in the Aviva. They know this is a crunch game for them, especially given how close this group will be. They should have too much power for Edinburgh and 3 points is easily covered - I hope.
