England are arguably better than France now.
To be fair, England were the better team yesterday, France just managed to snatch it with a very French like moment of team genius. Wales will beat France and we have a good chance. They also looked quite unfit at times.
If he listened to me he saved his money. France did not beat the spread. I’m 2/2 in suggestions there fella to wyt.

Ospreys (-5) v Sale. 4 points 10/11 numerous
LVCup clash tonight between these two sides. Home advantage is huge in this competition and this Ospreys side is better than you’d expect. Plenty of young lads in there but they’re all capable of getting the result. Sale won’t care greatly for this game and have a similar weakened side out. I can see them taking a good beating tonight. Hopefully it’s a good money maker to enhance the bank for 6 nations.
I’ve no idea how this bet did but cracking logic.
Computer says no.
Ospreys won but failed to cover the handicap in a crazy game of rugby!

We must be up a fortune now. Scotland are flying it and nothing between Ireland and Wales.
125% strike rate.
Indeed Kev, there’s not much between Ireland and Wales, they’re both on 4 pts after 3 games.
6 nations tournament bets
Two bets for a start, I’ll be back with tryscorer bets later in the week.
Bet 1
No Grand Slam winner. 3 points 4/6 William Hill
There’s not a lot between Ireland, France, England and Wales and I see us all beating eachother in some shape or form. Can’t see any team winning every game. It could well be a 3 way tie at the top this year, and I can’t have an outright bet because of that. No slam winner is probably a 4/9 shot, you’re not going to make millions but it’s a solid bet for the tournament.
Bet 2
Italy to lose all their games. 4 points. 5/4 Stan James
Italy are 4/6 to finish bottom but 5/4 to come away with 0 wins. Basically they’re going to lose the away matches to France Wales and Ireland, they’ll lose at home to England and Scotland will not be 5/4 to win in Rome. Italy have surprisingly gone backwards in the last 18 months and with Scotland rapidly improving again they’re really up against it. It’s an attractive bet.
One of the above bets is in, no grand slam winner, the other is all but certain unless Italy surprise us or the English! Our tryscorers have been poor/injured but they were fancy prices.

But does that not mean you’re still down money on the five bets overall?
Of course he is. He only came back cos o mentioned him in another thread and Carryharry tipped him off. Or he is a regular posting under this name as well. He’s an embarrassment
I just hope he can put food on the table. A deliousion all gambler is a real sad story, never like to see it.

What other thread did you mention me on, I haven’t seen it, please point me in that direction so I can destroy you yet again.
FAO Tabby, we have 8 points tied up on top tryscorer bets ranging from 25/1 to 80/1 and will get 7 points back on the other bets so a 1 point loss overall thus far, still a very healthy profit for the year, which will only increase by the end of the club season.

Not on this thread you don’t. It’s funny the way you skip large parts of the season, disappear after a few losses and inly come back whenever I post something up. It’s laughable, only your other addicts ever jump in for ya, and they are staying well clear now as well.
Seriously go talk to someone. Go to a meeting.

@The Tipping King
Any bets for the H-C semi finals?
I’ve had 5 ante-post bets, I’m now adding a 6th.
Ante-Post Bet 6
Saracens to win Heineken Cup. 2.5 points e/w 9/1 VC & Betfred
Sarries have shown themselves to be a proper side so far this season. They have acquired well in the last two seasons and seem to have matured as a side. Strettle and Ashton on the wings, Barritt is a top class center, Alex Goode at full back, a solid half back partnership in Farrell and Wigglesworth. They have a strong pack, Vunipolo Borthwick and Hargreaves all big game players. Basically they have assembled a team that can definitely make a go of it again this season. They won their group in good style last season, a group consisting of Munster Edinburgh and Racing Metro before dismantling a good Ulster side in the quarters. They fell at the semi-final side to the eventual winners Toulon, where indiscipline cost them dear, especially in the final third. They will have learnt from that experience and should kick on this season.
Not only do I like the look of their team but the price here is all wrong. This season they have a group consisting of Connacht, Zebre and Toulouse. I see them topping that group and having a home 1/4 final. Also with the French sides knowing this is their last season in the H Cup, will they really put it all in or focus on their domestic league as is often the case anyway? You are getting 9/1 with 1/2 odds 1,2. So it’s basically 9/2 that they win a home 1/4 final and their semi. They have the ability to win this competition and are definitely the strongest English side in the mix. 9/1 is way too big, I’d have them no bigger than 5/1. I’m trying to get on the 9/1 with quite a large wager but I may have to take 8s elsewhere. Smashing bet this.
Clutching a €5o Terry Rogers docket on Sarries at 9/1 at the moment, will make the final more interesting I suppose.
Good to see so many members out in force embracing the season of punting ahead. to one and all.
I’ll start off with a few season long bets, these will be counted in final p&l but I won’t count them until they are settled. They will be segregated from the week to week match bets.
Ante Post Bet 1 & 2
Luke Marshall to be top tryscorer in the Rabo Direct Pro 12. 150/1. 0.5 point e/w (1/4 1,2,3,4,5)
Luke Marshall to be top tryscorer for Ulster in the Rabo Direct Pro 12. 25/1. 1 point e/w (1/4 1,2,3)
Paddy Power look to have ricked this one. Luke Marshall is a really promising player, 22 years of age, one of the most promising schools players and already an Irish international. He’ll start most of Ulster’s matches in this league. Ulster are one of the top few sides in this league, will score plenty of tries and will be involved at the business end of things. It will be a big season for Marshall, he’s only scored 2 competitive tries previously but he is progressing well and should find plenty more opportunities to score tries this term. PP going 5 places is insaneo_O To put a bit of context on it, Ladbrokes are 66/1 with 3 places. He will be one of the main men for Ulster, along with Trimble and Cave. They are three players I see involved in most matches barring injury. The likes of Gilroy, Bowe Payne etc will be rotated quite a bit one would imagine and Marshall should never be the 25/1 to be top team tryscorer either. Two bets where you don’t have to part with big money but could potentially have a juicy payout.
Ante Post Bet 3
Greig Laidlaw top pointscorer Rabo Direct Pro 12. 1 point 22/1 BetVictor
I think Edinburgh will have a decent season, they’ve recruited well adding to their pack and with backs like Visser they possess some attacking flair. Solomons has taken over managerial duties from the Super15 and he is a good tactition. The kicking game will be massive for them and if Laidlaw can bag a few tries also then there is no reason why he can’t amass enough regular season points to trouble the favourites like Biggar and Keatley. 22/1 is a win only price, if you want e/w Bet 365 are 16/1 1/5 1,2,3.
Ante Post Bet 4
Jonny May top tryscorer Aviva Premiership. 1 point e/w 20/1 (1/4 1,2,3,4,5) Ladbrokes
Another bright prospect who plays for Gloucester. He has speed to burn, and has a solid tryscoring record already for such a young man. If Gloucester are to do anything this season (I could see them finish top 4) then he’ll be central to that. He’s guaranteed to bag tries throughout the season and I can’t see him out of the 5. Again he’ll be playing in most games and the league is paramount for Gloucester. 20/1 far too big.
Ante Post Bet 5
Worcester to finish bottom of Aviva Premiership. 1 point 5/1 Ladbrokes
Another price that looks out. Worcester are woeful, it’s between them and promoted Newcastle for bottom spot, Sale will get the ship back on course this year and London Irish won’t be involved in a scrap for the bottom. Basically it’s a match bet at 5/1, you do the math! They’ve lost their best player to Wasps in Andy Goode and I can see them taking a few hammerings in this league. Hopefully Newcastle can do themselves justice and finish above them.
So 5 bets, all at decent prices, hopefully next May I’ll be updating a healthy p&l here. In terms of this weekends action, I’m waiting to see teams for Munster v Edinburgh and how the weather works out in Newport and Glasgow.
We’ve come to the end of the regular season for domestic leagues and all I can do here is applaud myself.
Lets get the losers out of the way first, only 4 pts of losses incurred on these. Luke Marshall only got 3 tries this season, a somewhat disappointing return for his efforts in an Ulster shirt, but he had a great season overall. We had small stakes at big prices on him and weren’t rewarded. Laidlaw wasn’t within an asses roar of top pointscorer, a pathetic shout.
However, Jonny May landed the each way punt in the Aviva Prem. Despite Gloucester having a terrible season he bagged 9 tries and finished 3rd in the overall tryscorer table 3 behind the winner. If Gloucester had a good season he would have walked it. He’s a talent and a half. 4 points profit there.
Worcester finished rooted to the bottom of the Aviva prem with 2 wins all season. They were shambolic. 5/1 winner, 5 points profit there.
And finally, Saracens have already landed the each way 1/2 1,2 part at odds at 9/1 in the Heineken Cup. Everything crossed they can do it as it’ll be a monumental payout for me if they oblige.
That’s a minimum of 13.75 points profit and a potential extra 35.75 points profit on ante post bets if Saracens beat Toulon the week after next. That’s added to our profit for the regular season.
That’s 5 years in a row now of profitable threads on this website. An incredible effort if I may say so myself.
Well done TTK
