TV Rights, best avoided

Sure let one of outraged in fingal come on and explain themselves so. Gas how they are so clued into the intricacies of television rights when it suits.

Is there 10 k people watching this manure?

It’s part of the contract to show the World Cup next year apparently

Thanks pal. Perfectly reasonable for rte to show this scutter so when it’s part of a package deal.

Glad we have reached a consensus

Haven’t been following bro, will take a look again. It’s probably required when you take the World Cup rights though.

Sky Sports News putting quite the production there for the announcement of the Lions team.

They could probably sub lease to TV3 like the Euros tbf.

I doubt FIFA would approve

True.

Big shake up at sky sports…

No rogbee station

BT have snapped up all the big rugger rights.

No sailing station either

There isn’t the content to have a 24/7 station for rugby.

Only football, golf and cricket really justify it but they are forced to have a F1 channel by the FIA.

They showed NFL Red Zone on the free to air Sky Sports Mix all of last season which was brilliant. Wonder if they’ll do the same this year.

The NFL might have told them to do it and if they didn’t, once the NFL got wind of it I’d say they’d be pressurising Sky to keep it that way.

Why would the NFL have told them to do it?

Found it odd as it essentially meant that most casual NFL fans didn’t need a Sky Sports subscription.

The NFL are obsessed with getting games to as many eyeballs as they can.

There isn’t any live weekly games now on FTA as Channel 4, Five and the BBC won’t show them. Just the international series.

Surprised there’s no Exercise station, given it’s the biggest sport in Ireland according to ERSI.

you’d need your head examined to be paying for a subscription if you have any decent internet connection
Stream Supreme IPTV trumps anything
the glory days for sky was when they had PL box office, lads paying a tenner for wigan and birmingham in 2006/2007 at 12 45 on a saturday

Sky have lost the rights to ATP Tennis to Amazon.

This is great news . Ladies football and camogie finals can’t be bought by vultures .
