Done, pal. As is Orange is the new black and Bates Motel…and True Detective.
Justified.
The Bridge
U.S?
Haven’t watched US one. Watched series 1 Danish and Swedish one. Started season 2 last week.
“Mozart in the jungle” is decent. Good cast and very funny at times. Also watching “transparent” which is excellent so far . Both shows are Amazon produced and easily found for download in the usual places.
Transparent was superb. Will give Mozart in the Jungle a watch.
Good preview here of new shows starting soon:

If you haven’t watched it already download the 15/16 episodes of ‘The Thick Of It’. Excellent fun.
There must be a drinking game out there that every time a gun is brandished in Sons of Anarchy you drink a finger of beer.
On another thread @briantinnion and @Scrunchie remarked how they are both fans of the Danish show ‘The Bridge’. Well i haven’t seen it but did see ‘The Tunnel’ last year which is an adaptation of it and i found it outstanding. Just wondering if people think some re-makes or adaptations are better than the original? I recently watched season one of Denmark’s ‘The Killing’ which i also found very good, it’s very engrossing when you get into it. There’s a US version set in Seattle that’s meant to be top notch also. Can anyone confirm if it’s as good? I felt it was only fair to watch the original and now that i have i don’t think i could bring myself to watch the US one.
Fortitude is coming out soon and looks like it will be top notch as well.

I only watched the US version of The Killing and very much enjoyed it.

I just said on the other thread that the original Danish version is far superior.
The story is pretty much the same but the acting is better. Even though I knew what was happening I was rooting for Martin more so than Karl? In the tunnel and Saga Noren was brilliant.
I understand they change who the killer is for the US version, so at least you don’t know what’s coming so to speak. Btw how come these new posts didn’t bump the thread in the board room?? At least not for me, the thread is not on the main page??
As an aside i correctly deciphered who the murderer was pretty early on in the Killing season one (twenty complex and finely layered one hour episodes).

I’m not surprised you did, mate. You have a great attention for detail. I thought the acting was very good in The Killing and the first two seasons in particular, which dealt with the one storyline was superb.
Justified returns in the States tonight. Looking forward to it.
What’s it about, mate?
Timothy Olyphant playing a Dirty Harry style US marshall in Texas. It’s very good, doesn’t take itself too seriously and both Olyphant and Wally Goggins are superb.
Great first episode of season 3 of banshee. Best show on TV by a mile.
Ah here, it’s absolute wank.
