Tv Shows & Mini Series (Part 1)

Suits starting up there again tonight. Bit of a chic show but I like it

Garbage. Cliche ridden garbage. Breaking Bad fans might like it but that was a serious waste of my fucking time. I’m just glad it’s over.

Ok sorry for disturbing you. And just to let you know, Ive never seen breaking bad

Jesus fucking Christ. Why did I persist with it? Why did they make it? I’ve had broken ribs that I enjoyed more than that.

Sorry pal. I was talking about True Detective. Suits is a better show as it doesn’t try to take itself too seriously. It’s clearly not filmed in NYC though and it suffers for that IMHO.

Ah that was just awful. Awful, awful, awful.

I’ve 4 eps to go, would I be as well of just a reading a summary of how it ends and be done with it?

It’s really not good at all. Without going into too much detail, it manages to strike a fine balance between cliché-ridden drivel and implausible drivel.

No offence taken. Tbh I watched the first series of True Detective and enjoyed it
Watched the first episode this one and turned it off after the first episode. Pure shite

In those 4 hours you could make a good dent in one of the great novels. I’m sorry I didn’t stop after episode 1. If you’re not on it yet, do Mr Robot instead. It’s deadly.

You could even probably write a half-decent novel in those 4 hours.

That was shocking. Terrible season from start to finish.

They butchered it.

True Detective 2 was wrote in an hour by two stoned 14 year olds by the looks of things so anything is possible

That was awful.

SPOILER ALERT*

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU SPOILER? WHY ISN’T THERE ANY EASY LINK TO THESE GIMPY KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS? FUCK SAKES

Maybe I’m guilty of being too simplistic, but did Frank and Velcoro not go down very easy, almost Tiernan McCann like?

Velcoro, made no effort to lose his tail and indeed led the bad guys to a nice secluded woods where he could be blown to pieces in relative seclusion. He made more of an effort trying to upload a fucking voice message onto his cloud than formulating some/any kind of a plan to evade capture.

Frank, depite knowing he was the most wanted man in the Vinci underworld, seemed lackadaisical in his efforts to flee the city. Why did he pull up so tight to the car in front of him at the lights? Did he not spot the blacked out vehicle tailing him? When he spotted it in the mirror, did he not see 5 Mexicans get out of it? Why did he leave his handgun in his sock?

Also what use was revealing the fat ginger was Velcoro’s son? Big swingin mickey. Too late to have any impact whatsoever. A nothing development. Fuck it.

And where did that baby, the birds had at the end, come from?

Is there an implication that it could be Frank/Velcoro’s?

She said his sons to the reporter so it was hers and Farrell’s.

The biggest takeaway I have is that Abigail Spencer has aged terribly, the fappening leak looks to have aged her by 10 years sadly.

:x:

She was the only positive in the entire thing for me. A beautiful woman.

The spoiler tags work the same way as the old forum. You need to do a separate one for each paragraph if you’re putting a space between the paragraphs. Not sure what you mean by the keyboard shortcuts. You can get those by hitting ? but that won’t help with spoilers. We’ve never had a button for spoilers in the post composer/editor.

Yeah that was ridiculous. Frank was naive and very strangely naive but at least that’s all it was. Velcoro fleeing to the mountains made no sense. If they weren’t going to kill him at the school (strange because they had no problem shooting at him at the train station) then he just needed to stay public. It just dragged out everything but there was no suspense. It just took a boringly long time for him to get shot eventually.

I thought that was abysmal. They couldn’t figure out what to do with it for the plot or character development so they just throw it in at the end. It didn’t matter at that stage. It was useless information. So he was the father all along? What does that change? He acted like his father the whole time. He didn’t know but he wasn’t going to know either way so it only impacted on his ex-wife who we had no interest in anyway.

I just find it incredible that a show like True Detective that was so good in Season 1 could be so bad in Season 2. How can the people who did Season 1 think that garbage is acceptable?

The worst part is HBO have said they are willing to do Season 3 if Pizzolato wants.
