Yeah, @caoimhaoin I’ve decided Vinyl is pure shite, what was I thinking? its going no where, that Ritchie fella is an awful tool

The TV show is based on the book. Same name.
Edit - Might be you’re on about Fatherland either
[/quote]
The plots between the two Man in the High Castles seem to be fairly different. Is that Fatherland any use?
You mug
I read it in just over a day. Could not put it down.
Unreal
President Joe Kennedy Snr
Ya, showed great promise but just fuck all story in the end.
I haven’t seen the TV show, but I imagine it’s jazzed up a bit alright. Fatherland is excellent, the plot and characters are great which I think is somewhere where a lot of alternative history novels fall down.
Maybe I’m the only one but in still very much enjoying Vinyl.
I can’t even be bothered watching it this week, that’s not a great sign of a programme in my book
It’s watchable on a Monday night in fairness.
But then again so is Claire Byrne.
Fatherland no?
I’ve been watching Billions starring Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti.
Poor.
Heading on holidays soon, anyone have a new series to bring with me for he plane journey? Have seven episodes of ‘The Man In The High Castle’, would like something else as well.
Yeah I think there is another season. I’ve only watched the opening three episodes but I was told the quality dives in the second half.
The one thing I will say is that there is some fairly shite acting, specifically this Marshall guy and the lead female.
Thats because you haven’t lived
Unreal.
@Tassotti - checked out Ep.3 of Chef’s Table on Netflix last night. It’s about Francis Mallmann
It’s unreal - he’s a Patagonian chef and his speciality is cooking with open fires. Worth checking out.
I’m loving series three of The Bridge, just as good and possibly even better than the first two.
I’m going to delete Vinyl from my sky+ on the strength of the shitty reviews, after the fiasco of Dublin yesterday I’ve given up on solo runs for the moment.
That’s some bender Richie Finestra is on - unreal, unbelievable.
The pervs will also be delighted to know that Olivia Wilde goes fully nude in the latest episode.
Saw that reported this morning, still not enough to make me watch another episode.
