Tv Shows & Mini Series (Part 1)

Will Forte contributed a mad little bit to Demetri Martin’s first comedy album. Worth a listen Smark:

Last two episodes of Vinyl have been superb.

Richie is some character.

He’s absolutely brilliant. What a cunt.

Cannavale is super and one of the best actors around today. What kind of money would he be getting for a lead role in a big budget HBO show? I can’t imagine it would pay as well as movies would. I’d say he’s a cert to be getting some big movie roles off the back of this.

+1 mate, the money he would be on in a HBO show would small fry in comparison to Hollywood.

This will surely be a major boost to his career though, he’s a class actor and has serious potential to go on after this and make big money, he’s around awhile in fairness but this could & should bring him to the next level.

just started “better watch saul” its right good so it is, the bit in episode three where he finds the family and burst into the tent and shouts “here’s Jimmy” and they nearly shat themselves, I feel off the chair laughing, one of the greatest moment in a tv mini series of all time

I watched 40 minutes of the first one tonight. Didn’t like it at all.

Finished watching all 7 series of The West Wing again, first 4 seasons were top quality, season 5 was good but the last 2 were only middling,Toby was almost invisible in the last few season’s which was criminal as he was probably the best character in the programme after jeb/Leo,Mrs bartlett was a cunt also

I would have thought once was enough.

An outstanding show. Perfectly nuanced, great dialogue, and the master of the walk and talk. Obviously dipped after Sorkin left, but on its day, masterful.

I’ve been following it. Haven’t started rewatching but might be tempted to.

Up to date with Better Call Saul, outstanding
OJ Simpson on BBC2, very good
About 6 episodes into Fargo Season 1, very good
Finished off Peaky Blinders Season 2, fackin brillian mate!!*

*Off sick the end of last week, chest infection

On my last Season of Dexter - outstanding

Where did you get season two of Peaky Blinders? They only have season one in netflix.

I’m trying The West Wing again. I’m incredibly patriotic and I love the ‘I love my country’ vibe but it’s just a bit hard to take all the do-gooders after watching House of Cards. I’ll keep going with it though for another while.

I started Billions last night. Maggie Siff is an extraordinarily attractive woman and still looks as well as she did when she stole my heart as Rachel Menken almost 10 years ago.

Yes, it would definitely be an idealised version and quite Democratic leaning. It really kicks off late Season 1, Season 2. If you’re struggling with the do gooder element it could be a problem though because that does continue throughout.
